Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello! Welcome to the release blog hop for Jane’s Doodles Stamps. You should have arrived from Jane’s awesome blog. She is the wonderful artist behind these fun and creative stamps. Today we are showcasing her latest two stamp sets which are available for purchase in the store.

Love Birds

Coffee Time

Jane's Doodles Coffee Time

First up I’ve created a very CAS and one layer card using the Love Bird’s set. Coloured with Copics and I just love those google eyes – though the bottom bird looks a little coy 😉

JD I Love You | Marion Vagg

This next card uses the Coffee Time set which I love as I am a lover of coffee! My hubby is quite the coffee connoisseur so I have an in-house barista – and he knows exactly how I like my espresso 🙂 This card is painted with Kuretake watercolour paints. I’m still in love with them.

Jane’s Doodles Release Blog Hop

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello! Today is the release blog hop for Jane’s Doodles Stamps. You should have arrived from Zrinka’s blog.

Today, two new sets are being released into the store and they are Rain or Shine and Ahoy! Once again, Jane has done an amazing job at designing these sets. I find her stamps so easy to create cute little scenes with them.

Rain or Shine

Jane's Doodle rain or shine

Ahoy!

Jane's Doodles Ahoy!

First up I’ve created a one layer card using the Rain or Shine set.

Jane's Doodles - Rain or Shine | Marion Vagg

I added two layers of Glossy Accents to the umbrella for lots of dimension. Unfortunately the white dots I drew on the umbrella got a little lost underneath all of that shine.

JD Rain or Shine detail | Marion Vagg

Next up is a card using the Ahoy! stamp set. I had a lot of fun colouring these images (with Copics) and creating this scene. It’s going to be a birthday card for my daughter who turns 6 in December. She is very much a tom boy and loves all things pirates, so this card is perfect for her. It hasn’t really shown up in the photo very well, but there is a very lightly sponged blue sky with clouds. If you squint you may see some of it – it is much better in real life.

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello! Today is the release blog hop for Jane’s Doodles Stamps and we are also welcoming three new DT members. You should have arrived from Ange’s awesome blog.

You are going to love the latest release as it is one very stinkin’ cute stamp set indeed! Check it out.

Winter Wishes

JD winter wishes

First up is a fun card using most of the critters in the set. I created my own window with a craft knife and a cutting board.

And because I think all the characters in this set are cute, I couldn’t leave the snowman out – so I gave him a card all to himself, drinking a hot cup of chocolate with marshmallows! Both cards use sentiments from another Christmas set called Warm Wishes.

Sunny Studios Grand Opening Blog Hop

Grand Opening Graphic

Hello and welcome to the blog hop of a brand new stamp company that is making its debut today – Sunny Studio Stamps. You should have arrived from Elise Constable’s blog.

First up I have made a CAS card using the Birthday Smiles stamp set. I coloured the cupcake in with Copic markers and added some Clear Wink of Stella Brush pen to the frosting.

Birthday Wishes SS | Marion Vagg

My second card uses the Snow Kissed Stamp set. I had a lot of fun colouring this cute little penguin in with Copics. I masked off the rectangle in the background and sponged in some Distress ink to create a focal point.

Winter wishes SS | MArion Vagg

…and popped him up on some mounting foam for some dimension.

Jane’s Doodles Release Blog Hop

Jane's Doodle Banner

Today I am taking part in the Jane’s Doodles release blog hop. Three new sets have been released into the store.

Anemone

Jane's Doodles Anemone

Under the Sea

Jane's Doodles Under the Sea

Winnie Halloween

Jane's Doodles Winnie Halloween

First up I have made a card using the Anemone stamp set. I am really into adding texture with embossing paste at the moment. It creates subtle interest in background for a focal point. I coloured the white embossing paste with Antique Linen Distress ink. The Anemone is coloured with Copics and a Prismacolor pencil.

JD Anemone | Marion Vagg

Next up is a cute whale from the Under the Sea set (which is out of stock, but it can be pre-ordered). To create the background, I blended in some Salty Ocean distress ink and then created the splatters with some water and had a paper towel on hand to mop up the moisture – removing some of the colour.

JD Whale of a birthday | Marion Vagg

Speaking of whales, there are a lot of them migrating north at the moment along the east coast of Australia. The kids and I went looking for them this afternoon and I did manage to catch a glimpse of one. Amazing creatures.
