New home

Hi everyone,

These houses are digi stamps from the DigiStamp Boutique from a set called New Home Collection. I have had them for ages and haven’t used them until now! It is for a friend of mine who has just moved. How exciting!

I used Adobe Illustrator to line the houses up in a row before printing them off and colouring them in with Copic markers. I went a little overboard with the colours – but I wanted to try out some new colours that I recently got for my birthday from my Hubby :-). I like the whimsical look – who wouldn’t want to live in a street like this? I am entering this into the DigiStamp Boutique October Competition.

I also did a little experimenting with Copics – I went for a brick look here on the end house. The clouds were made by masking with a post-it note and a sponge dauber.

My favourite is the spotty purple house – complete with Glossy Accent windows.

Supplies:

Stamps: New Home Collection from the DigiStamp Boutique, AnnaBelle Stamps “Squared Posies” stamp set (sentiment)
Ink: Printer, Versafine – Onyx Black, VersaColor Cubes – Atlantic, Canon printer
Card: Regal Craft Card (white textured DL single fold), X-Press It Blending card
Other Supplies: Copic markers, AnnaBelle Stamps Red/White Hemp twine, Foam dimensionals, Sponge dauber, Post it note, Glossy Accents, Jane’s Doodle button.

Thanks for stopping by,

Marion

Say it In…

Welcome to another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps. This week we have a very cool colour combination which works so well together. I am definitely on a CAS run with my cards of late, and this is no exception.

I have had this American Crafts glittery card  for a while now and decided that it was time to use it…as I only had 2 colours – pink and green. How convenient for this challenge. The sentiment is taking centre stage this week and is from the Dotted Flowers stamp set. I love the sentiments in this set.

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps “Dotted Flowers” stamp set
Ink: Versafine Ink – Onyx Black
Card: AnnaBelle stamps square card – kraft, X-Press It Blending card, American Crafts Glittery card – pink and green
Other Supplies:  AnnaBelle Rose sprinkles –  6mm, AnnaBelle Stamps natural jute twine, Craft Affair Papercraft – die cut chipboard tag

AnnaBelle Stamps Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to another AnnaBelle Stamps Blog Hop. You should have arrived from Patti’s blog. If you want to start the hop from the beginning, hop on over to the AnnaBelle Stamps blog.

Today the Belles are showcasing the just-released “Gifted Swirls” stamp set.

When I saw Amy Wanford’s brilliant CAS Christmas card recently, it was love at first sight – and so that is what I tried to replicate with my card. If you haven’t checked out her blog, you should as she is one of the CAS queens.

The stamp has a star at the top and it just didn’t look right in black and I tried various methods to colour it but nothing looked ‘right’ – so in the end I left it off by not inking it. The tree is coloured with Copics.

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps “Gifted Swirls” stamp set
Ink: Versafine Ink – Onyx Black
Card: Regal Craft Card – beige
Other Supplies: Copic markers, Red buttons – from my stash, Anchor thread – white, Glossy Accents (to adhere buttons)

I was hoping to make another card as well to showcase this great new set of Andrea’s, but I have a sick household and a second card didn’t eventuate. I have had the flu for the past 2 weeks and my son has a nasty tummy bug. I’ll spare you the details but I will say that we have washed a lot of sheets in the last 24 hours! My poor possum! He just can’t keep anything down!

Thanks for stopping by…and now you are hopping over to the AnnaBelle Blog. Don’t forget to add your name to the inlinkz below for your chance to win this fabulous stamp set! And not only that, but Andrea has a fabulous deal on offer – “Purchase all three new Christmas sets released this month and receive a pack of 6mm Sprinkles free!”

Say it With… Embellished Corners

Welcome to another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps Blog. I am loving how these challenges are really making me try new things. This week we have embellished corners – not something I do often (other than rounding corners!) so it was fun coming up with something that suited me and my style of card making. I used the Holly Branch stamp set and the sentiment is from the just released Ornamental Christmas set.

And I made another card – but with a different wreath, a different sentiment, a different bow and squared corners instead of round! So in my eyes it is very different to the first!

And to show you how I created my wreath, I have included a little tutorial.

Lightly in pencil I traced a circle (using my circle cutter as a guide) onto some X-Press It blending card (Label 2 nestie cut out)

I stamped around the pencilled circle with the holly stamp.

To fill in some of the gaps, I used the smaller holly stamp from the same set. Once the ink was dry, I rubbed out the circle.

Coloured the images in with Copics and used the Natural Gray colour to go around the outside edge of each leaf.

And added a sentiment from the just released Ornamental Christmas set (I always use VersaFine – Onyx Black for my sentiments). I added a bow and some Cherry Sprinkles and voilà.

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps “Holly Branch”, AnnaBelle Stamps “Ornamental Christmas” (sentiment on first card), AnnaBelle Stamps “Round for Christmas” (sentiment for the second card)
Ink: Versafine Ink – Onyx Black, Memento – Tuxedo Black, Versacolor – Tea Green
Card: AnnaBelle stamps square card – smooth white, X-Press It Blending card
Other Supplies: Spellbinder’s Nesties – Labels 2, Cuttlebug, Kaisercraft patterned paper – Spirograph, Copic markers,  AnnaBelle Cherry sprinkles – 3mm, 4mm and 5mm, AnnaBelle Stamps 6mm Sultana sprinkles, sponge dauber, foam dimensionals, SEI button, Red satin ribbon – from my stash, Red button – from my stash, Anchor thread – white, Zots adhesive dots – small, Karl Craft circle punch

Say it with…

Welcome to another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps Blog. Yellow, Lime and Chocolate…not my normal go-to colours, but I am happy with the result and how quickly it came together.

The ornament is from the just-released “Ornamental Christmas” set and I have also used the newly released “Backgrounds by Design 6” set.

The musical background looks orange, but it is actually yellow with a touch of brown and the centre of the ornament is a reddy brown colour. The sentiment was made by combining two of the sentiments from the Ornamental set – I just added the little ‘at’ by hand.

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps “Ornamental Christmas”, AnnaBelle Stamps “Background by Design 6”
Ink: Versafine Ink – Onyx Black, Vintage Sepia, Distress Inks – Scattered Straw, Versacolor – Bark, Brown, Tea Green, Bamboo, Olive, Yellow
Card: AnnaBelle Kraft Card, X-Press It Blending card
Other Supplies: American Crafts clear embossing powder, heat gun, AnnaBelle natural cotton twine, sponge dauber, AnnaBelle pearls 3mm and 4mm, blending tool, foam dimensionals, SEI button, Kaisercraft grosgrain ribbon – brown, Felt pen – brown, Craft Affair Papercraft – die cut chipboard tag
