Hello! Over the next week I’ll be sharing 5 cards with you showcasing some of the new release goodies from the latest Penny Black<\/a> catalogue called Sweet Spring.<\/a>\u00a0For me, spring is all about flowers. I simply love flowers – the more colourful the better, and this catalogue doesn’t disappoint in that area.<\/p>\n

Today’s card is a window card, which features two new creative die sets called Flower Flourish<\/a> and Stitched Square and Circle<\/a> dies.<\/p>\n

Flower Flourish<\/a><\/p>\n

Stitched Square and Circles<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"After die cutting the Flower Flourish twice from white card stock, I coloured it with Copic markers and coated them with a layer of shimmer pen. On the card base, I first dry embossed the second largest circle die into my card base. To create the window, I die cut the second smallest circle from the die.<\/p>\n

I blended on some lime green ink onto the card base and to add some interest, I used the Penny Black Oscillations stencil<\/a> and a darker shade of green to add the subtle dots. I also intensified the embossed pattern on the edge of the circle with the\u00a0 darker shade of green ink.<\/p>\n

I adhered the florals with some liquid adhesive and added gems to the flower centres. The sentiment is from an older Penny Black stamp set called Sentiment Collection.<\/a><\/p>\n
