When I think of my Mum, she loves soft blue colours and roses. So I decided to make a box and combine these two things. I used some gorgeous blue digital papers called Green, Blue Simple Classic Paper Pack 308 (VN Digital Art)<\/a> to cover the box base and to make the flower I used a lovely pink gingham paper from Essential Digital Paper Pack 300 (VN Digital Art)<\/a> (I just reduced the opacity to 50%). And here it is.<\/p>\n

To make the rose I did a search in Pinterest and came across this rose tutorial<\/a>. I modified it a little bit to suit my project better. I inked up the edges of the rose with Spun Sugar Distress ink to add a little more depth.<\/p>\n

And it all started with this wooden pencil box that I bought from Target –\u00a0 I just made a lid to fit. I will put some chocolates in it for Mum and then she can use it as a box or maybe even a pencil holder!<\/p>\n
