Juggling animals

Good evening,

These two cards use the Hero Arts Playful Animals stamp set….so cute! I am doing a lot of cute animals/critter cards of late! (I put it down to having 2 little kids!). When I saw these two animals from the set the first thing I thought of was them juggling buttons, and so that is what I did!

I cannot take the credit for the design of the first card however….it is a complete CASE of this bright and cheerful card by the very talented Amy Wanford. As soon as I saw this card on her blog I fell in love with everything about it…thanks Amy for sharing your talent!!

The second card uses the same bright colours but is very different. I had fun making my own patterned paper with words from the same set and Versamark watermark ink.

You will have to excuse the glossy accents on the monkey’s yummy….it wasn’t quite dry, hence the cloudy look!

Supplies:

[Hip Hip Hooray]

[Celebrate]

Other Supplies: Copic markers, Prismacolor pencils, Gamsol, Basic Grey buttons – brights, foam dimensionals, Glossy Accents, googly eyes, Creative Memories circle cutters, Making Memories Metal ‘Celebrate’ tag (which I went over the words in a black permanent texta)

Well that’s all from me for now.

WMSC#46

Good evening,

Recently I purchased my very first Waltzing Mouse Stamps…and I am in love with them! They stamp so beautifully and best of all they are great value for money as you get so many stamps in the one set!! Today’s card uses the Half Pint Heroes stamp set (and when I say value for money – this little set has about 45 stamps in it…oh and the sentiments are so varied and cute!!).
So now that I own some WM stamps, I thought I’d have a go in the current Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge #46.

And here is my take. Just like Kelly Schirmer’s DT take, I turned the sketch up-side-down. I also put Glossy Accents over the window, but it didn’t show in the photo all that well.

Supplies:

Stamps: Waltzing Mouse Stamps – Half Pint Heroes, Hero Arts Envelope Pattern (S5507)
Ink: Versafine Ink – Onyx Black, Memento – Tuxedo Black, Vers Color – Atlanta
Card: Regal Craft Card (white textured single fold), white card
Other Supplies: Prismacolor pencils, Gamsol, blending stubs, foam dimensionals, Basic Grey Buttons, Glossy accents, Copic Marker, black felt pen, Creative Memories circle cutters, Cre8tiv Mini stack paper – Baby series, Cuttlebug embossing folder – Polka Dots, Cuttlebug.

Thanks for coming by my neck of the woods!

Until next time,

Marion

Floral thanks

Hi! I’m back!

Today I FINALLY got a chance to get creative and make some cards! I have some new stamps that have arrived over the last few weeks and today I christened some. This stamp is one of them. It uses the Hero Arts Tall Flower woodblock stamp. I used Prismacolor pencils to colour in the flower and instead of grabbing the Gamsol (my usual go to) I used a Derwent blending pencil…still some practise is needed! Lots of blending of distress inks on the background with the HA Envelope Pattern stamp lightly over the top.
I am entering this into the current Hero Arts challenge which is to use at least one flower and I also used a coloured pencil technique!

Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts Tall Flower (K5431), Hero Arts Envelope pattern (S5507)
Ink: Versafine Ink – Onyx Black, Versa Color – Umber, Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Worn Lipstick, Scattered Straw and Dried Marigold
Card: Regal Craft Card (white textured DL fold), X-Press It blending card
Other Supplies: Prismacolor pencils, Derwent Blending Pencil, Kaisercraft pearls – pearl, Making Memories Metal ‘Thanks’ tag (which I went over in a black permanent texta), White sheer ribbon, thin green satin ribbon, foam dimensionals, WRMK Corner chomper

Thanks for looking. I hope to have another card to share with you really soon!
Take care,

Marion

Good afternoon,

Here is my entry to the latest Case Study #36 Challenge. The muse is Silke Ledlow. I loved everything about her card. I coloured it in with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.

Zoo-Licious

I have been having fun playing with my new Recollections stamp set that arrived last week – Zoo-Licious. I am really into cute little animals/creatures designs as they make great birthday cards for kids.
These cards were so easy to make. I am still a beginner when it comes to colouring in with Copic markers, but I am improving – I think! It is also a bit challenging as I am so limited with the number of Copics that I own.

And a close up of the giraffe….with a teeny weeny little bit of Glossy Accents on his spots!! I couldn’t resist.

Supplies:

Stamps: Recollections – Zoo-Licious, Practicing Creativity sentiment – ‘You’re Dandy’
Ink: Versafine Ink – Onyx Black, Memento Ink – Tuxedo Black
Card: X-Press It Blending card
Other Supplies: Copic markers, Glossy Accents, Black felt pen, Googly eyes

So cute or what? Don’t you just love the googly eyes? I do!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Marion

Scrapbook Boutique Easter Challenge

Hi,
If you have been trying to access my blog during the last 24 hours…my apologies for it being offline – it was beyond my control – a data centre problem…but all fixed now!

This is my entry to the current Scrapbook Boutique Easter Challenge….squeezing it in before the deadline tonight!

I have never made an Easter card before….not something I would normally do, but I do love to make little tags! My hubby is away for work at the moment, but my dear friend invited me and my kiddlets to her place for the afternoon and dinner, so I just had to make each of her family a little something special to give them for Easter. It was a bit of a rush job but they turned out OK. Everyone got a little personalised tag to go on a couple of Easter eggs which I packaged up in clear bags and tied off with some ribbon. On the back of the tag I put the bible verse “If the Son sets you free, then you will be free indeed” – John 8:36. A very fitting verse for Easter I thought!

You will have to excuse the photos, but I had to snap these quickly before I had to head out the door to give them away and they weren’t the easiest of things to take decent photos of (cards are a little more straight forward!)

Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts ‘Flourish Background’ Cling stamp (CG119), Scrappy Cat ‘Playful Serie’ letters stamps
Ink: Versafine Ink – Onyx Black, Versacolor cubes – Atlantic, Heliotrope, Green Tea, Petal Pink, Bamboo
Card: White card
Other Supplies: Spellbinders nesties – label 4, Cuttlebug, Kaisercraft Flowers, R.E.I buttons, ribbon, clear cello bags, kitchen twine, sponge dauber

Thanks for stopping by. I have got some super cute animal cards to share with you soon…some new stamps arrived last week and I have been having soooo much fun playing with them. Until then,

Marion
