Fun and Carefree Tag – Penny Black ‘Secret Garden’ Inspiration #2

I’m back sharing a tag I’ve made using Penny Black products from the latest ‘Secret Garden’ release.

Today’s tag uses the sweet cling stamp called Flying By, which I stamped in Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured with Copics. I die cut it out using the coordinating Flying By cut out.

The tag die is an oldie, but a goodie die set, called Tagged. I used the Script cling stamp onto the background to add some interest with a brown ink. I also sponged the same ink around the outside of the tag to create a distressed look.

The white heat embossed sentiment is from this new release and is called Carefree Wishes. I popped up the bunny image with some mounting foam and added some cotton thread to complete the tag.

Thank you – Penny Black ‘Secret Garden’ Inspiration #1

Hi friends. I hope that things aren’t too chaotic in your neck of the woods! The good thing about our wonderful online community of card makers is that we can continue to make, share, enjoy and uphold each other online like we have always done!

Today I am sharing a card using Penny Black products from their latest ‘Secret Garden’ release – and what an awesome release it is as well.

I stamped the Penny Black Unforgettable cling stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto some Neenah Solar white card stock. I then went to town and coloured in this beauty using Copic markers – I was actually at the beach a few weeks ago colouring this one.

I wasn’t sure how to mount this onto my card base, so I trimmed around the image, fussing cutting around some of the outer leaves and flower buds. I then mounted this to a dark teal piece of card stock. Before adhereing to the base card, I lightly sponged on some dots using a blue ink and the Oscillations stencil. I reach for this stencil all the time when I want to add some subtle interest to the card base.

I finished off the card by adding a white heat embossed sentiment from the Million Thanks stamp set. I mounted the sentiment with some foam tape.

Thank you – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

I’m popping in quickly today to share a card I made using Jane’s Doodles  products. I masked off then stamped the new Wild Flowers stamp onto some Neenah solar white card stock and coloured it with Copic markers. I am having fun experimenting with adding little dots around my images of late – jut to give it some more visual interest.

I then added some thin card stock strips underneath the floral cluster, one of which I stamped the Thank you sentiment from the All Occasions stamp set. To complete the card I added in some white gel pen highlights with a Uniball Signo white gel pen.

Jane’s Doodles cards x 3

Jane's Doodle Banner

Happy Sunday! I’m getting a little slack in keeping up with my blog posts! I find Instagram so much more convenient! I have however been very busy with the start of a new school year – there is always so much to organise!

Anyway, today I have three Jane’s Doodles card to share with you, and I love how they turned out.

This first card uses Jane’s new Wild stamp set. I simply love this set. This is a very simple card really. I stamped the images onto the MFT Stitched Dome Stax, and then coloured it with Copic markers. The grass at the front is fussy cut and adhered along the bottom, to add a little dimension.

I popped up the scene onto the card base using 3D mounting foam.

The next card is a Valentine’s Day card I made using the Seamus stamp set. It is very similar to the last card where the focal scene is stamped and coloured with Copics and then 3D mounted onto the card base. I added some glossy accents to the heart.

And the last card features the To the Moon stamp set. I had so much fun making this card. The images were stamped, coloured with Copics and fussy cut. The background night sky was really fun to make. I got all inky, blending in many different colours of Distress Oxide Ink. Once dry, I then splattered white pigment ink to create the stars. The stitched frame is a MFT stitched collage frame die.

The sentiment is from the same set and is white heat embossed. I popped up the stitched collage frame using 3D mounting foam.

Thanks for hanging in there with me. You can always follow me on Instagram @marionvagg if you don’t already.

Thanks for stopping by. Email me if you want to know any more information about how I made the cards.

Wild Flowers

Wild

For my first card I stamped the large floral arrangement from the Wild Flowers onto some white card stock. The flowers were coloured with Copic markers. I added some light grey shading and dots around the image to add some subtle interest. The sentiment is from the Thankful stamp set.

Next up is a fun card using the Wild set – which I simply love! This set is going to get a good workout from me, as it is perfect for making cards for my kid’s friends!

I stamped all the images straight onto the die cut out panels and then coloured them with Copics. I had fun experimenting with the various green backgrounds and creating different textures. I was trying to break up all the green. The die cut is a MFT die called Stitched collage frame.

Sending Kitty Cat Love – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hey friends. I am back today sharing with you another Jane’s Doodles card. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I thought I would do a slightly different take on ‘love’ card – for that someone special who loves cats! It is not secret that I love cats.

I used the Cats stamp set along with the Doodle Butterfly and Pucker Up! stamp sets for the sentiment and the hearts.

Now to make this card extra special, I added a mini action wobble behind the cat to keep things fun!

Thinking of You – Penny Black ‘Share the Love’ Inspiration #4

Today I am sharing another card using Penny Black products from their latest ‘Share the Love’ release.

Hello! For today’s card I masked off the centre strip with some washi tape. I then stamped some of the Banner Blooms images (stamped off onto scrap paper first, then onto the panel to get a lighter image) in VersaFine Smoky gray ink. Once I had all the images stamped, I went to town painting using Zig Zig Clean Color real brush markers. I scribbled the ink onto an acrylic block then painted the images with a paintbrush/watercolour brush. I painted several layers, drying between each one. I also used the Zig’s direct to paper in some spots. This took me quite some time, but it was rather relaxing. When all the painting was done, I used some Prismacolor pencils to add in the final touches of shading and outlining.

After removing the mask I stamped the sentiment from the Only You stamp set.

I had done some practising on another piece and it was too good to throw out, so I die cut a tag using the Gift Tag creative dies.
