Say it with…Black, White and Silver

Welcome to the first challenge for 2012 at AnnaBelle Stamps. I trust that you had a fabulous Christmas and may 2012 be a wonderful year for you, filled with many blessings!

This week’s challenge is a colour challenge…AND even more exciting is that we are welcoming not one, but two new design team members…AND we are showing you a sneaky peak of a couple of new stamp sets that are being released…AND we have a new January guest designer! WOW!

Firstly Therese Calvird and Jess Holland are two very talented ladies who are donning the Belle hat at AnnaBelle stamps. Make sure you head on over and welcome them. Also we have Cath Dean joining us for the month of January as a guest designer – welcome Cath!

This week is a colour challenge and the Belles are showing you some creations using 2 new stamp sets that are being released next week. I am totally *in love* with the new set I have used today called “Love Birds”. I think this set is my new favourite!

I had to have a good old think about the colour challenge as they are not my normal go-to colours. It was the silver that threw me! But alas, the two tiny hearts are silver heat embossed and the thread and sprinkle are also silver. Everything else is white heat embossed, except the line which I drew with a white pen.

I am entering this card into the current Wee Memories #81 Challenge – New. I had fun playing with this awesome new stamp set! I am also entering it into the current Runway Inspired Challenge ric#3 which was to use this photo as the inspiration. I went with the black/white theme and the stripy bars on the birdcage reminded me of the dress.

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps Love Birds stamp set (to be released next week)
Ink: Versamark watermark ink
Card: Regal Craft Card – Smooth white, black card
Other Supplies: AnnaBelle Stamps metallic sprinkles, foam dimensionals, Silver thread, Glossy Accents (to adhere sprinkles), Zing white embossing powder, Stamp-It silver embossing powder, heat gun, anti static pillow, white signo pen.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the DT have created. Their links are on my side bar.

ABSC045

Welcome to the last sketch challenge for 2011 at AnnaBelle Stamps. Can you believe we are about to move into 2012! Hope that you all had a fabulous Christmas with your friends and family. My whole family was together which doesn’t happen very often, so it was lovely to catch up. BUT I did miss my crafty things so was keen to make something when I got home. I was also very spoiled crafty wise for Christmas, but will share that with you later.

For this week’s challenge we have a sketch challenge…and when I saw it I thought of a ladybird, so that is what I went with. And it is not a card – but rather a chocolate wrapper! I got the idea from a present my hubby got for Christmas. I am entering this into the current Wee Memories #80 Challenge – Anything Goes.

I made the ladybird out of a mixture of punches and nesties and black heat embossed the large red circle with Background by Design #3. The text background is from the Background by Design #6 and the sentiment is from the Squared Posies set. I finished it off with some AnnaBelle ribbon and Cherry Sprinkles.

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps BBD #3 stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps “Squared Posies” stamp set,  AnnaBelle Stamps BBD #6 stamp set
Ink: Distress Ink – Peeled Paint, Walnut Stain
Card: XPress It Blending card, Bazzill card – red, black, beige
Other Supplies: American Crafts black embossing powder, heat gun, Spellbinders circle die – small, Cuttlebug, foam dimensionals, Carl Craft circle punch, , Cherry sprinkles (3mm, 4mm and 5mm), Ranger blending tool, Fiskars Stamp Press, AnnaBelle Stamps 16mm Moss Satin ribbon, Googly eyes

Hope that you can join in and play along – the winner will receive a $15 Gift voucher to the store. Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT have created. All the DT Girls links are on my sidebar – why not leave them some love?

Also Andrea has a sale at the AnnaBelle store at the moment…hop on over and have a browse around and grab a bargain. There is 20% off all stamps and sprinkles.

Until next time,

Marion

Say it with…Christmas Cards

* If you are looking for the Print Candee blog hop, see the post below this one*

It is Friday again, so that means another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps. We hope that you will find some time to play along with us.

An easy challenge this week. I went with a very clean and simple design – with 2 different colour versions.

I used the Ornamental Christmas and the Stamped for Christmas sets. I coloured the ornaments in with Copic markers and layered them using foam squares and then finished them off with some silver thread and a metallic sprinkle. A really easy card to mass produce.

I am entering these cards into the current Wee Memories #79 Challenge – Holidays.

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle StampsOrnamental Christmas stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps Stamped for Christmas stamp set
Ink: Versafine Ink – Onyx Black, Mementos – Tuxedo Black
Card: Regal Craft Card – White textured and Smooth white, X-Press It Blending card
Other Supplies: AnnaBelle Stamps metallic sprinkles, foam dimensionals, Silver thread, Glossy Accents (to adhere sprinkles)

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the DT have created. Their links are on my side bar.

…and a partridge in a pear tree

Hello and welcome to the first blog hop for December at AnnaBelle Stamps. If you have arrived from Patti’s blog than you are on the right track. If you want to start the hop from the beginning, head on over to the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog.

Today the Belles are making projects with the theme of Christmas Gift Tags. I made a partridge in a pear tree…very Christmas-y!

I am entering these tags into 2 challenges. The current Wee Memories #78 challenge and Jay Gee’s Nook Challenge #14 which was to use this inspiration photo. I went with the Christmas theme and the photo with the little birdie in it!

I bought these gorgeous laser cut birds earlier on in the year and they were just right for this project. I inked them up with distress ink before spritzing them with pearlised water. I paired the birds up with the tree from the Tree-MEN-dous stamp set. The sentiment is from the Stamped For Christmas set and I added some grass from the All Things Grow set.  Ooh and I just had to try out my new distress inks …Wild Honey and Faded Jeans are my *new* favourite colours.

It doesn’t really show it in the photos, but the tags are covered in pearlised water so they are nice and shiny in real life.

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps Tree-MEN-dous stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps Stamped For Christmas set, AnnaBelle Stamps All Things Grow set.
Ink: Distress Inks – Wild Honey, Fired Brick, Faded Jeans, Tumbled Glass, Peeled Paint, Walnut Stain
Card: AnnaBelle stamps smooth white card
Other Supplies: RW Laser Cuts – Patchwork of birds, Perfect pearls, mini mister, Fiskars stamp press, White satin ribbon, Glossy Accents (to adhere birds)  AnnaBelle Stamps natural jute twine

Thanks for stopping by…and now you are hopping over to the AnnaBelle Blog. Make sure you visit all the DT and leave them some love.

Little Miss Mia

Hey there fellow crafties,

Today I am sharing with you a card that I have made with Jane Beljo’sLittle Miss Mia” stamp. Jane very kindly sent me her Little Miss Mia stamp a couple of months ago and I must say that Miss Mia has been patiently waiting to be inked all this time! But I got a chance to have a play the other day and she stamps like a dream. I had so much fun doing a little paper piecing too – right down to her socks! I am entering her into the current CAS-ual Fridays Challenge – CFC29 – which is to use this sketch.

I created the little scene behind her and then raised her up on some foam dimensionals. I wanted the scene to look like a polaroid photo. Her skin and hair are coloured with Primacolor pencils and Gamsol.

Supplies:

Stamps: Jane’s Doodles ‘Little Miss Mia’ stamp set, WaltzingMouse “Teeny Trees” stamp set (sentiment), AnnaBelle Stamps “All Things Grow” stamp set (grass)
Ink: Versafine Ink – Onyx Black, Memento – Tuxedo Black, Distress inks – Tumbled Glass, Peeled Paint
Card: Regal Craft Card (white textured square card), X-Press It Blending card, White Bazzill
Other Supplies: Creative Memories – red gingham paper, yellow paper – from my stash, foam dimensionals,  black felt pen, blending tool, Kaisercraft rhinestones, Prismacolor pencils, Gamsol, blending stubs

Thanks so much for coming by,

Marion
