Enjoy – Penny Black ‘Secret Garden’ Inspiration #3

Hi friends, I hope that you are all surviving these crazy times!

I’m back sharing a super fun birthday card using new products from the Penny Black release ‘Secret Garden’.

Today’s card features no stamping what-so-ever. It was all made with die cuts and some ink blending. I used the awesome new Balloons creative die set – two large sized balloons come in this set along with ties and a bow (which I didn’t end up using). I sponged on some Distress Oxide ink onto the balloons before adhering and trimming them down to the card panel size. I love that these dies even come with the balloon highlights.

If you are interested, I used two colours on each balloon – Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade and Spiced Marmalade and Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers – I think also added some Salty Ocean to this one as well!

The sentiment is another ‘must have’ die set that I think I will be reaching for quite often. It is called Celebrate & Enjoy and they are good sized dies with a beautiful scripty font. I also inked this up with Distress Oxide ink.

The cloud dies are not from this release, but are ones I use a lot and are called Silver Linings. I popped up the middle balloon to add some dimension, and the clouds are also two die cuts on top of each other to add some subtle dimension.

Thanks for stopping by. To view and or purchase any of these new products from these releases, head to the Penny Black online store.

If you have any questions, just email me.

Until next time, stay safe, keep washing your hands and keep on crafting!

Jane’s Doodles cards x 3

Jane's Doodle Banner

Happy Sunday! I’m getting a little slack in keeping up with my blog posts! I find Instagram so much more convenient! I have however been very busy with the start of a new school year – there is always so much to organise!

Anyway, today I have three Jane’s Doodles card to share with you, and I love how they turned out.

This first card uses Jane’s new Wild stamp set. I simply love this set. This is a very simple card really. I stamped the images onto the MFT Stitched Dome Stax, and then coloured it with Copic markers. The grass at the front is fussy cut and adhered along the bottom, to add a little dimension.

I popped up the scene onto the card base using 3D mounting foam.

The next card is a Valentine’s Day card I made using the Seamus stamp set. It is very similar to the last card where the focal scene is stamped and coloured with Copics and then 3D mounted onto the card base. I added some glossy accents to the heart.

And the last card features the To the Moon stamp set. I had so much fun making this card. The images were stamped, coloured with Copics and fussy cut. The background night sky was really fun to make. I got all inky, blending in many different colours of Distress Oxide Ink. Once dry, I then splattered white pigment ink to create the stars. The stitched frame is a MFT stitched collage frame die.

The sentiment is from the same set and is white heat embossed. I popped up the stitched collage frame using 3D mounting foam.

Thanks for hanging in there with me. You can always follow me on Instagram @marionvagg if you don’t already.

Thanks for stopping by. Email me if you want to know any more information about how I made the cards.

Sending Kitty Cat Love – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hey friends. I am back today sharing with you another Jane’s Doodles card. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I thought I would do a slightly different take on ‘love’ card – for that someone special who loves cats! It is not secret that I love cats.

I used the Cats stamp set along with the Doodle Butterfly and Pucker Up! stamp sets for the sentiment and the hearts.

Now to make this card extra special, I added a mini action wobble behind the cat to keep things fun!

Jane’s Doodles New Release Blog Hop and a Giveaway

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello and welcome to another Jane’s Doodles blog hop where the Design team are showcasing Jane’s latest stamp set called Cozy Up! You should have arrived from Kaja’s blog. If you get lost along the way, there is a list of blog hop contributors at the end of this post.

Without further ado, here is the Cozy Up! stamp set.

I’ve made two very different cards using this set. The first one has quite a retro feel to it. I masked off several areas using washi tape, and made sure that the stamps fit into the space I was creating for them. I then inked up each rectangle using a variety of Distress Oxide inks (I gave my daughter free range of the colour choices and where to put them – and I think she did a great job). All that was left to do, was stamp the images from the set with a new rich black ink – I used VersaFine Onyx black ink.

The second card is a little bit more traditional in style. I stamped and coloured the images in with Copics and used a MFT die to cut out the arched shape. This sentiment is from an older set (but one I reach for ALL the time) and is called All Occasions. I haven’t used patterned paper in so long, so it was fun to create a wallpaper feel for the background.

Giveaway:
In addition to Jane having a 25% off sale on all clear stamps until this Wednesday, she is giving a stamp set of your choice to one lucky winner. All you need to do is comment on all the blogs in the hop and you’ll be in with a chance to win! Good luck!

Jane’s Doodles – Purr-fect day, Sending Hugs and Thankful

Jane's Doodle Banner

I have some Jane’s Doodles cards to share with you today that have been on the Jane’s Doodles blog over the last month or so.

I’ve been on a colour blocking theme of late, and the following two cards use this technique. Head here for the original post. This card uses the Cats stamp set.

Next up is this card which uses the Seamus stamp set and the sentiment is from the All Occasions stamp set. You can find the original post here.

And finally, I have this floral card which uses the Magnolia stamp set and the sentiment is from the Hello Fall stamp set. You can find to the original post here. I created the score lines using a score board and I used an embossing mat to create the oval impression in the centre of the card.

If you want to know anything about any of my cards, just contact me through the email icon on my blog.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time,

Marion
