Love Always

Hi everyone,

I finally got a chance to have another play around with some techniques/ideas that have been demonstrated in class. This is what I can up with this morning. I layered up the hearts as shown by Jennifer McGuire on Day 3.

I love that I didn’t have to use any foam dimensionals! I would never have thought to do it this way.

For this next card I used the same technique as above, but made a window card like Kristina did on Day 6.

Supplies:

{Love Always – First card}

Stamps: Hero Arts All Occasion Messages (CL272)
Ink: VersaFine Ink – Onyx Black
Card: Hero Arts folded cards – Hero Hues – Blush, white card
Other Supplies: Cuttlebug die – Concentric Hearts, Cuttlebug, Tombow adhesive, AnnaBelle Stamps 4mm pearls, square punch (to create the banner ends)

{Love Always – Second card}

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps Fanciful Flowers stamp set
Ink: Versamark Watermark ink
Card: Hero Arts folded cards – Hero Hues – Blush, white card
Other Supplies: Zing white embossing powder, heat gun, Cuttlebug die – Concentric Hearts, Cuttlebug, Tombow adhesive, Kaisercraft pearls, White gel pen (signo), antistatic pillow

Thanks for stopping by,

Clean and Simple

Hi everyone,
Just popping in quickly with some cards that I made today following one of the sketches from the Clean and Simple Card Making class run by Jennifer McGuire, Kristina Werner and Julie Ebersole. My heart skipped a beat when I saw this sketch.

I love clean and simple cards and I love how both of these turned out. To create the red background I swished some Fired Brick distress ink over some textured card stock, leaving some white gaps. I like the distressed look. I am entering this card into the current CAS-ual Fridays CFC#34 Challenge – Chip off the Ol’ Block. I have used Thickers chipboard glossy letters.

My second card I am entering into the current Wee Memories Challenge #82 – Mini. My card is a small 4×4 card. Simple, but cute don’t you think?

Supplies:

{I love you}

Stamps: none
Ink: Ranger Distress Ink – Fired Brick
Card: Regal Craft Card – white textured, white card
Other Supplies: American Crafts Thickers – Chipboard stickers, foam dimensionals, Glossy Accents (to adhere Thickers)

Supplies:

{I appreciate you}

Stamps: Hero Arts All Occasion Messages (CL272)
Ink: Ranger Distress Ink – Fired Brick, Dusty Concord, VersaFine Ink – Onyx Black
Card: Regal Craft Card – white textured, white card

With love butterflies

* If you are looking for the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog Hop, please scroll down *

I have been having a LOT of fun with watercolour paper and pearlised water since taking Jennifer McGuire’s Inspiration Showcase class… and today’s cards are no exception! I used one of the October Challenge sketches from the Hero Arts Blog for the first one.

This one is for my sister’s birthday which is this Friday.

I also made a bigger version adding purple.

This photos captures some of Perfect Pearls shimmery goodness and how the butterfly wings are raised to add some dimension.

And a different version again. As you can see I was having so much fun! I am entering this one into the CAS-ual Fridays #22 – Feeling Loopy challenge.

Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts Classic Fabric Design (CG245), Hero Arts Flourish Background (CG 119), Hero Arts Classic Messages (CL414)
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Worn Lipstick, Bundled Sage, Broken China, Tumbled Glass, Dusty Concord, Versafine Ink – Onyx Black
Card: Regal Craft Card (white square single fold), Acquarello Watercolour Paper (200gsm)
Other Supplies: Carl Craft Heart punch, Carl Craft Butterfly punch, Perfect Pearls, Mini mister, Zots adhesive dots, foam dimensionals, AnnaBelle Stamps 4mm pearls, Glossy Accents (to adhere the butterflies), blending tool

Thanks for popping by. My school holidays are slowly coming to an end so back to teaching next week for me, but I have had so much fun crafting which was one of my aims!

CFC22

Good evening,

Well I have had the best time card making today…it has been one of those days where everything just seemed to work! Here is my offering for this week’s CAS-ual Friday #22 challenge – feeling loopy. To create a project using loops – and loops on bows don’t count!

I have never used felt on a card before, so thought that I would try it today. I ‘felt’ inspired after taking Jennifer McGuire’s Inspiration Showcase class and because of this class,  I also got out my watercolour paper and my pearlised water and got stamping…and I love the result. So soft, pretty and girly. The shimmer from the Perfect Pearls doesn’t show in the photos, but the background is lovely in real life!

There are 3 loops – one on the side and then one on either side of the roses.

Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts Classic Fabric Design (CG245), AnnaBelle Stamps “Squared Posies” (sentiment)
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Worn Lipstick, Bundled Sage, Versacolor – Tea green
Card: Regal Craft Card (white square single fold),  Acquarello Watercolour Paper (200gsm)
Other Supplies: My Favorite Things Die-Namics – Mini rolled roses die, felt – white, Glossy Accents (to adhere the flowers and leaves), lace, Kaisercraft grosgrain ribbon – cream, Perfect Pearls, Mini mister, Kaisercraft Tags, sponge dauber, Zots adhesive dots, Kaisercraft pearls – snow

Thanks for stopping by and I’ll be back soon to share some other cards I created today. I’ve had a happy day!

Wedding Butterflies

Good evening,

Popping in quickly with a wedding card. The wreath was made the same way as I made this wreath on a previous Christmas card. The butterflies were heat embossed onto vellum – something I have never tried before, but I like how they turned out. I am entering this into the CAS-uals Friday embossing challenge.

A close up of those vellum butterflies and the wreath which I distressed with Worn Lipstick and then cut around by hand. The photo doesn’t show the score lines on the back panel well, but they are more pronounced in real life.

Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts Playful Animals stamp set (CL155), Hero Arts Antique Engravings stamp set (CL383)
Ink: Versamark watermark ink, Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Worn Lipstick
Card: Regal Craft Card (white textured square – cut to size), X-Press It blending card
Other Supplies: Vellum, Zing embossing powder – white, heat gun, Kaisercraft perals – snow, pearl, cream, pink, Glossy Accents (to adhere butterflies), Martha Steward score board, Kaisercraft ‘Wedding” rub on.

Thanks for stopping by,

Marion
