Monster Hugs

Jane's Doodle Banner

Good evening! Well school’s out and I’m on holidays for 6 weeks! Bring on summer 🙂 *insert happy dance*

You might remember this card that I posted a couple of week’s ago. Well for today’s card I used the left over positive die cuts  from that card to create this one! I didn’t want all those awesome circles going to waste. I pulled out Jane’s Doodles Monster Squad stamp set and went to work, colouring with Copics and fussy cutting.

I love the white dots on the purple monster – I used Ranger white enamel accents and a white gel pen. This is going to be my son’s birthday card which is coming up soon.

Cute Christmas Tags – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello! I hope your week is going well – and a Happy Thanksgiving to all those who are celebrating.

I have two cute Christmas tags to share with you today using Jane’s Doodles Mr & Mrs Claus and Warm Wishes stamp sets.

I have been on the lookout for a simple round bauble/tag die, so in the meantime I made my own using some circle dies. If anyone has a good suggestion, let me know.

Anyway, I stamped the Santa and snowman and masked them with some masking paper. I blended on some Distress Oxide ink (Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron) then spritzed with water. After removing the masks, I coloured with Copic markers. It’s hard to tell in the photos but the red areas have some shimmer from a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush pen. I finished them off with some Nuvo Jewel drops.

And don’t forget that Jane’s Doodles is having a sale at the moment – 30% off all stamps! What are you waiting for?

Peace on Earth – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

I had this card posted over on the Jane’s Doodles blog last week and I forgot to post it here! A fun little Christmas card using a few of Jane’s adorable critters.

I used three of Jane’s sets – Merry Christmas, Winter Fun and Winter Wishes.

I blended in some Distress Oxide inks onto the front panel (Cracked Pistachio and Broken China), then spritzed it with water. I used several circle dies to cut out the holes for the critters. I stamped and fussy cut out the critters, coloured then with Copics and adhered them onto the card base. The front panel was popped up with some foam tape.

Jane’s latest release doesn’t disappoint at all. Check it out.

Deck the Halls

 Driving Home for Christmas

Holy Night

For today I have made three cards, as I just couldn’t stop! First up I used the Deck the Halls stamp set. I stamped and coloured the Christmas baubles with Copic Markers and fussy cut them out. I foam mounted them onto my panel that I had blended with some Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink. I also stamped a branch image from the Christmas Blessing stamp set with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide ink. I added some gold embossing powder to some areas of the baubles with my Versamark pen and heat embossed it.

Next card uses the cute Driving Home for Christmas set. So adorable! I know I’ll be using this one again very soon. This is a simple one layer card, coloured with Copics and Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment is from the Merry Christmas stamp set.

And last but not least I used the Holy Night stamp set. I blended in a range of Distress Oxide Inks to create a beautiful sunset scene. I splattered it with water to create the stars. Once dry, I stamped the images in VersaFine Onyx black ink. I silver heat embossed 3 stars from the set as well.
