Snowflakes – Sunny Studio

Happy Friday! School is out and I’m on holiday for 6 weeks! Hopefully I will be able to catch my breath now. The last month has just been a whirlwind of activity.

Well today I have a Sunny Studio card to share with you using another one of Mendi’s cute penguin sets called Snow Kissed. For something a little different I decided to create a window card (but I always find these so hard to photograph!) To create the window, a partially die cut a circle and then created the flat bottom with my craft knife and a ruler.

The penguin was stamped and then die cut with the Snow Kissed dies. I made the window just big enough so that I could secure the penguin both at the top and bottom.

For a subtle pattern on the card front, I stamped the snowflakes stamp in Versamark ink and added some snowflake dies from the Snow Kissed die set.

The image is coloured with Copics markers and I added a white piece of paper to the inside of the card, so that when it is closed, white peeks through.

Cool Christmas – Sunny Studio

Happy Friday! Friday means I have a new post up on the Sunny Studio blog. This week the DT have been using the Bundled Up stamp set and the Bundled Up dies – a very fun and adorable penguin set. You can add a number of winter themed accessories to your penguin. The hardest thing was choosing which accessories to use!

The background was created by white heat embossing the snowflakes onto blue card stock. This cute penguin pair (coloured with Copic Markers) look like they are having lots of fun at the snow 🙂

Celebrate Christmas with Penny Black

simplicity sister

Oh my! How this year is flying by. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you using some gorgeous Penny Black products. Lots of ink blending on this one – with three of my most favourite Distress inks – Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon and Mustard Seed. Once my panel was inked, I flicked it with some water and a paintbrush and dabbed it with a dry cloth to create the spatters.

I then die cut the Penny Black Twirl Tree three times and adhered these together with some spray adhesive. I also die cut the Penny Black Hello Christmas sentiment three times from white card stock and adhered these together. The celebrate sentiment is from the Holiday Snippets stamp set.
