It’s a good day to be happy
So the Online Card Class Background Check is almost over and I have finally managed to make a card for it! I have enjoyed all the videos and techniques used, but I have a house full of sick kids and hubby is away on business, so I’m pretty proud of getting one made!
This card uses the inking blend technique that Laura Bassen showed on Day 1. I masked off the horizon with some Post-It tape and blended in some Salty Ocean Distress ink for the sky and Mowed Lawn for the grass. To add some interest, I sponged in some clouds (I created a stencil from card stock using a cloud die from Poppy Stamps). The bears are a Hero Arts stamp, coloured with Copics.
Stamps: Hero Arts Lil Hoot Stamp set, Mama Elephant Up and Away Stamp set
Card: X-Press It Blending card, Hero Arts Layering Papers – Charcoal
Ink: Memento ink – Tuxedo Black, VersaFine – Onyx Black Ink, Distress Ink – Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn
Other Supplies: Copic markers (W1, W3, W5, W7, E 25, E31, E34, E47) , Poppy Stamps dies – Puffy Cloud Border, Cuttlebug, Fun Foam, Foam dimensionals, Post It masking tape, Ink blending tool, Glossy Accents, Memento marker – Tuxedo Black
I appreciate you stopping by,
This is such a cute card! Beautiful inking and coloring 🙂
I love your card Marion, its just darling! (I’m sure once fall & winter sets in you will then get plenty of opportunities to practice what you’ve learned.)
Gorgeous design Marion, loving those Laura Bassen inspired clouds! Hope your kiddies are well soon and can’t wait for that sunshine (wink)!
Love your card! Laura definitely inspired you, and this card is so cool. Love it 🙂
Oh, this is so sweet!
