Textural Effects

I’m back with my last card for the online card class – Clean and Simple Card making 3.

I have created another one layer card, concentrating on adding texture with an embossing folder (and using a die as a diffuser) as shown by Julie Ebersole on Day 9. I also decided to give Dawn Woleslagle’s creative colouring technique a go as shown on Day 8. After stamping the floral image, I used a Copic O Blender pen to ‘watercolour’ the image. It is a really cool effect.

  1. Such a lovely card. You rocked this technique too!! I tried so hard to “get it” but none of mine came out!!!

  2. As long as it’s not a ‘papercraft’ ark…. not sure how long that will last. ps you nailed it again Marion, stunning design (and pinned)!

  3. Your card is beautiful! Congrats on the class shout-out!

  4. So pretty, Marion! Love how you combined different techniques!

Two “shout-outs” too, over at the OCC base – Bravo 🙂

  5. Simply stunning! Love it!

  6. Marion, love your card…Such a stunning effect! Will you be doing a video on how to do the ‘die diffuser’ technique? I’d love to know how to do that.

  7. Beautiful card…love how the die created that part of the card front. I had to laugh at your ark building..first it was the snow now that its spring its rain! We have had rain for 3 day straight so I totally understand.
