Monochrome Stencil Flower

Hello! Hope that you have managed to squeeze some sort of craftiness into your day today.

Last night I had a chance to play with a new stamp that I recently received in the mail – the Hero Arts Stencil flower.

I am entering it into the Just Add Ink #51 challenge where the theme is monochrome. I have been watching this challenge site for a little while, but have been so busy…this is my first entry into this challenge. I am loving turquoise/teal colours at the moment and monochromatic themes are always fun to play around with.

Here it is…

A close up of the flower showing some of the dimension. I had fun making my own background paper using a sunshine ray stamp from the ‘You’re Dandy’ stamp set from Practicing Creativity. I alternated the colours using Tumbled Glass and Broken China distress inks.

Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts Stencil Flower cling stamp, Practicing Creativity – Just Dandy
Ink: Versafine Ink – Onyx Black, Tim Holtz Distress inks – Broken China and Tumbled Glass
Card: Regal Craft Card (white square single fold), White card
Other Supplies: Copic marker BG09 blue green, uniball white gel pen, foam dimensionals, White handmade button from Jane’s Doodles, Kitchen twine, glossy accents (to adhere the button), Fiskars cutting board and scoring stylus

Thanks for taking the time to look. I hope you like it.
