Happy Birthday Crab – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Happy Saturday. I have a cute Jane’s Doodles card to share with you that I had a lot of fun making. Jane has some adorable stamp sets and it was really fun mixing some of these together. The crab is from the Under the Sea set and sentiment is from a set called Belated Birthday (I did a little stamp surgery here). The present is from a Christmas set called Driving Home for Christmas.

I started with a die cut circle which I blended with a mixture of Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch distress oxide inks. I splattered on some water to create the bubbles. The images were stamped and coloured with Copics and then fussy cut them out. The sand hill is hand cut.

This card is a little different as the focal image is on the inside of the card…and can be seen through the window.

Supplies

Stamps: Jane’s Doodles Under the Sea, Belated Birthday and Driving Home for Christmas stamp sets

Card: Neenah solar white card stock

Ink: Versamark ink, Memento Tuxedo black ink, Distress Oxide ink – Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch

Other Supplies: Copic markers, Spellbinders circle die, Cuttlebug, Googly eyes, 3D mounting foam, Ink blending tool

Thanks for stopping by. I’m off to watch the Royal wedding.

Jane’s Doodles blog hop, a giveaway and 25% sale

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello! Welcome to another Jane’s Doodles blog hop where the Design Team are showcasing Jane’s latest stamp release – three new stamp sets. You should have arrived from Ange’s blog. If you get lost along the way, there is a list of blog hop contributors at the end of this post.

Without further ado, here are the three new sets.

Magnolia

 Bless Your Heart

Homemade

My first card features the Magnolia stamp set. Magnolia’s are such magnificent flowers. The sentiment is from an older set (but still a favourite – Doodle Flowers 2)

I used a Lifestyle crafts embossing folder in the background – something subtle so those magnolias could take centre stage.

Next up I made some tags using the Homemade set. These would be perfect to attach to some home baked gifts. The tone-on-tone dots in the background use the Stripes and Dots stamp set.

Giveaway:
In addition to Jane having a 25% off sale on all clear stamps until Wednesday, she is giving a stamp set of your choice to one lucky winner. All you need to do is comment on all the blogs in the hop and you’ll be in with a chance to win! Good luck!

A Floral Hello – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Good evening. I have another Jane’s Doodles card to share with you.

I took a square panel of Bristol smooth white card stock and heavily blended on some Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink. When completely dry, I white heat embossed a flower from the Blooms stamp set, then created a mask before white heat embossing the second flower. The sentiment is from the Daisies stamp set was also white heat embossed. To add some details to the flowers, I first used a white Prismacolor pencil and then added the violet shades over the top.

To finish off the card, I splattered some water, which reacted with the Distress Oxide ink.

Supplies

Stamps: Jane’s Doodles Bloom and Daisies stamp set

Card: Bristol Srathmore smooth white card stock, XPress It Blending card, Light grey card stock

Ink: Versamark ink, Distress Oxide ink – Wilted Violet

Other Supplies: Hero Arts white embossing powder, Heat tool, Anti-static powder bag, Prismacolor pencils (PC 938 White,  PC933 Violet Blue, PC932 Violet) Paintbrush and water for splatters, Mounting foam

Short and sweet from me today.
Thanks for stopping by.
