Delight Release cards- Penny Black

Hello! It’s been a while since I have posted some Penny Black goodness here on my blog, but I am delighted to rectify that today. I have made two very different cards using some products from the Delight release.

First up I have used the Triangles creative dies to create a simple geometric design. I die cut the larger triangles from scrap coloured card stock. Then to create a tone-on-tone effect, I coloured the smaller triangle frames with a matching Copic marker before adhering it to the larger triangle.

The sentiment is from a set called Bear-y Wishful – I did a little stamp surgery and just used the first part of the sentiment. This card would make a great masculine card and would be easy to reproduce.

Next up is a card using the Captivating stamp set. Such a beautiful floral set. I dug out the Zig Clean Color Watercolor pens and had a great time water-colouring. To add some extra shading and depth to the flowers, I used some Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment is from an older set called Butterfly Garden.

Hello – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

I’m back again, and unlike my last post, I have a card to share! I hope you managed to hop along on the Jane’s Doodles new release blog hop. If not, head here to begin the hop – and there is also a chance to win a stamp set of your choice! Jane is also having a 30% off sale.

Today it is my turn on the JD blog, and I have created a colourful floral card using the Bloom stamp set.

I had some fun with some texture paste, which I haven’t used in ages! I pulled out the Small Brick Wall stencil from MFT – I love the imperfections around the edges.

I stamped and coloured the flowers in Versamark ink onto some Strathmore Bristol card stock and did some watercolouring with some Zig Real Colour Brush markers.

I die cut a rectangle frame from cream card stock using the MFT Stitched Rectangle Stax dies and the Hello sentiment is actually part of this Christmas die set from Penny Black.

I added dimension to most of the elements using mounting foam. If you have any questions about my card, just email me.

Until next time,

Marion

Thank you – Penny Black ‘Secret Garden’ Inspiration #5

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is secret-garden-facebook-graphic-1.jpg

Good afternoon! I’m back sharing another card using products from the ‘Secret Garden’ release by Penny Black. Today’s card uses the Exquisite Envelopes stamp set and the coordinating cut out die set.

I stamped several of the foliage images with VersaFine Onyx black ink onto some Strathmore Bristol smooth white card stock. Then I relaxed and chatted with some friends via Zoom, while I water coloured them with my Zig Clean colour real brush markers. Once they were dry, I dry cut them out and arranged them in the envelope. I love how the die set allowed you to cut a slit into the envelope so you tuck them in.

The sentiment is from the Million Thanks stamp set – I love this sentiment set as it has lots of different sub-sentiments you can put with the larger font to create a more personalised greeting.

To add some very subtle interest to the background I sponged on some tone-on-tone dots using the Oscillations stencil. To finish off the card, I added in some white gel pen details and popped up the envelope with some foam tape.

Thankful for You – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Good evening. I’m back with another Jane’s Doodles card, this time using the new Tulips stamp set. I stamped the floral arrangement in VersaFine Onyx black ink onto some Strathmore Bristol smooth card stock. I then used my Zig Clean Colour brush markers and did some water colouring. I tend to scribble the marker onto an acrylic block, then pick up the paint with a water brush. I found this one really relaxing to paint.

The sentiment is from an older set called Thankful and I white heat embossed that once my watercolour panel was completely dry.

I really love how this turned out. If you have any questions about my cards, just email me.

I hope you have been getting some crafty time in. I certainly have – I even crafted with some friends via Zoom today! It was so much fun!

Until next time,

Marion

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello and welcome to another Jane’s Doodles blog hop where the Design Team are showcasing Jane’s latest stamp sets called Spring Icons and Tulips. You should have arrived from Milka’s blog. If you get lost along the way, there is a list of blog hop contributors at the end of this post.

Without further ado, here are the two new stamp sets.

Spring Icons

Tulips

My first card is a very simple one, but I love the pastel colours and the Pop-Art feel to it. I used some cute images from the Spring Icons stamp set and stamped them onto some Bristol card stock before water-colouring around the images. The sentiment was white heat embossed onto some black card stock and then I fussy cut around that.

I popped up the four little panels with some foam tape and this card was done.

Next, I stamped a single tulip bloom and some leaves using the Tulips stamp set and coloured it with Copic markers. The sentiment is from the Spring Icons set and was stamped in VersaFine onyx black ink.

A Time For Love – Penny Black ‘Share the Love’ Inspiration #3

Hello! My school holidays are quickly coming to an end and next week school starts again. But no complaints here as I have had fun crafting, enjoying no routine and just relaxing!

Today I am sharing another instalment for Penny Black using products from their latest ‘Share the Love’ release. You can check out all the new products here.

I adore these two love bears, which are from the Take Me Away stamp set. I stamped them onto some Bristol card stock and used Zig Clean Color real brush markers to water colour them. The sentiment is from the Love Language stamp set.

I painted in a simple sky in the background to complete the scene. I added in some white gel pen detail to the balloons before adhering it to a blue notecard.

If you have any questions, just email me.

I’ll be back soon,
