Penny Black – Happy Heart Day inspiration

Hello friends! I am popping in again with another card using the latest Penny Black release called Happy Heart Day. I hope that you blog hopped with us on Monday (if not you can check out the blog hop here) and be in the running to win some awesome prizes.

For today’s card I have used the adorable All My Love stamp which features this uber cute bear. Who doesn’t love a Penny Black critter?

I coloured him very much like the packaging suggested and used Copic Markers. To add some interest to the card base, I sponged on some red ink over a red card base using the Oscillations stencil.

Short and sweet from me today, but I’ll be back really soon with some more inspiration using this new release. These products are now available in the online store and you can view the Happy Heart Day catalog here.

Happy Heart Day – Penny Black Release Blog Hop and Giveaway

Hello! It’s a “Party with Penny!”. You’re invited to join in the fun over the next several days as Penny Black reveals their newest collection of stamps and dies, Happy Heart Day.

Penny Black is kicking off the party with a blog hop!

You should have arrived here from Susie Lessard’s blog. If you want to start the hop from the beginning, you can go to the Penny Black blog for a complete list of all of the blog hop participants.

For this blog hop I’ve created two cards using some A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E love-themed stamp sets. My first card uses the PB 30-535 ‘Reserved Space’ stamp set and the sentiment is from the PB 30-526 ‘So Much Love’ stamp set. I stamped the image and coloured it with Copic markers. I extended the grass line along the bottom with a Copic multi-liner and sponged on some clouds using a hand-cut cloud mask to complete the scene.

My next card uses the the PB 30-524 ‘Happy Hugs’ stamp set and the sentiment is from the PB 30-526 ‘So Much Love’ stamp set. I’ve also used some older Penny Black products to complete this cute little love bird scene – 51-057 Polaroid Creative die and 25-014 Oscillations stencil. I coloured this scene with Copic markers and added some fine details with a white gel pen.

I hope you will check out the latest Penny Black catalog – there are some awesome products in there!

And it wouldn’t be a party without a giveaway; right?  Penny Black is giving away a $50 shopping spree to the Penny Black online store to THREE lucky winners.  To enter, leave a comment on any blog hop post (this one included). The giveaway closes on Sunday, December 23rd at 11:59 PM PST and winners will be announced on the Penny Black blog on December 31.

Deck the Halls – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hi! I’m back with another Jane’s Doodles card using a gorgeous stamp set called Deck the Halls. I am doing well – I think this is my second Christmas card I’ve made and it’s only October!

I pulled out a cheap set of watercolour paints for this one. Lots of layers and heat setting between layers. I thought I had ruined this on many occasions, but watercolours are very forgiving and somehow I kept adding and ended up with this! I sewed on some silver thread for something different.

Head on over to the Jane’s Doodles blog for more awesome inspiration.

Supplies

Stamps: Jane’s Doodles Deck the Halls stamp set

Card: Neenah solar white card stock, Canson watercolour paper

Ink: Versamark ink, VersaFine Onyx Black ink

Other Supplies: Watercolour set, White embossing powder, Anti-static powder bag, Heat gun, 3D foam, Silver thread

Thanks for stopping by today.
