CAS-ual Fridays #20

Just popping in quickly with my entry into the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge. I just had to enter as I LOVE to make mini cards and also AnnaBelle stamps is the sponsor this week!

I couldn’t stop at one, so I made 4 – all using AnnaBelle stamp sets. They each measure 10cm by 7.5cm, so they are mini, mini cards. Great to have on hand to pop someone a little note or attach to a bunch of flowers. They each have a matching envelope. I have used Glossy Accents on each of them to make them pop (I think I am addicted to this stuff!)

The deadline is soon, so will pop in later with all the deets.

Thanks for stopping by,

Marion

AnnaBelle Stamps Birthday Challenge #3

Hi,

Today is the third and final Birthday Challenge #3 at AnnaBelle Stamps. Today Patti and I are hosting the challenge which we are very excited about. What is today’s birthday challenge?

To make a card/project that has 2 of something starting with B.

(eg: 2 blooms, 2 buttons, 2 bows, 2 bling etc). Why the letter B? Because it stands for Birthday…and 2 because AnnaBelle Stamps is turning 2! Yay.

My inspiration for this card came from JayGee’s Nook Challenge #11 inspiration photo (where I was inspired by the yellow colour theme). I also loosely used the FTL#157 sketch.

So on my card I have two blooms and 2 bits of bling. I wanted to have 2 bows on the yellow twine down the bottom, but they just wouldn’t work for me – so as my hubby suggested, I have used 2 bits of thread – twice bound (ha!).

I very rarely use patterned paper…but I am proud to say that I cut into some for this card! I painted distress inks with water for the flowers. Piercing a border around the edge just framed it off nicely.

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps “Whimsy Flowers, AnnaBelle Stamps “Dotted Flowers” (sentiment)
Ink: Versafine Ink – Onyx Black, Distress Inks – Peeled Paint, Scattered Straw, Versacolor – Cyan, Narcissus
Card: Bazzill card – yellow, X-Press It blending card
Other Supplies: Kaisercraft Lilac Avenue Collection – Dandelion,  Annabelle’s Sprinkles – 6mm Sultana, American Crafts clear embossing powder, heat gun,  foam dimensionals, paint brush, Glossy Accents, sponge dauber, DMC Floss – mustard, Ranger Enamel Accents – black, Kaisercraft tags, Tim Holtz ruler, Making Memories paper piercer

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you head over to Patti’s blog to see what she has created. Add your creation to either the inlinkz below or on Patti’s blog. Hope that you can play along.

AnnaBelle Stamps Birthday Challenge #2

Hey there blogging buddies,

Today is Birthday Challenge #2 at AnnaBelle Stamps. The DT gals Sue K and Stephanie are hosting this challenge so head on over to their blogs for the details, to see their awesome creations and to link up your creations.

Their challenge is to create a project using blooms! (How fitting, especially for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere where spring is in the air – Yay!) I am also entering this into the current CASE Study #56 Challenge where the talented Julie Lacey is the muse. You can view her gorgeous inspiration card here. I love her layout, her ribbon and her flowers!

I do like creating little scenes so lots of ink was used in this one. I love turning a blank piece of white cardboard into something pretty! I have used lots of AnnaBelle stamps on this one. The tree is from the Tree-MEN-dous set. The grass on the bottom of the circle is from the All Things Grow set and the background stamp is from the Backgrounds by Design 3 set. I created the clouds by using a technique that Darlene used in her card here.

The large rolled rose flower is my new MFT die (which I love) and I finally purchased a leaf die! Both of these things make me happy!

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps “Tree-Men-ous”, “Background by Design 3”, “All Things Grow”
Ink: Versafine Ink – Vintage Sepia, Versacolor – Sky Blue, Camillia, Bamboo, Tea Green, Bark,  Tom Holtz Distress Ink – Peeled Paint
Card: Regal Craft Card (white textured sqaure fold), X-Press It Blending card
Other Supplies: Carl Craft Punch – Vinca A (small flower) and Ume (large flower), AnnaBelle stamps 3mm Pearls, Kaisercraft pearls – snow, Copic Markers, sponge daubers, Fiskars stamp press, My Favorite Things Die-Namics – Mini rolled roses die, Sizzix Sizzlits die – Flowers Branches and Leaves, Cuttlebug, Sheer white ribbon, Creative Memories circle cutters

Hope you can join in on all the fun birthday celebrations! Don’t forget there are some awesome prizes!

Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you soon for Birthday Challenge #3.

Hello

Happy Sunday Evening everyone,

I am into owls at the moment – let’s face it, there are so many owl stamps and images out there that are just soooo cute!

Here is my owl offering that I am entering into the current CAS-ual Fridays Challenge CFC#17 (stuck on you) and the current Scrapbook Boutique Challenge (to use ribbon or a bow – look at that yummy inspiration photo!)

These are all stickers from EAD designs. I sponged around a cloud shape repeatedly on the background with blending chalk, it is subtle, but looks better in real life.

I love how the textured card gives the stickers a textured look as well. I added some sprinkles for eyes and a bow to make her look more girly.

There you have it…a card with no stamps or ink – just chalk and stickers!

Supplies:

Stamps: None
Ink: None
Card: Regal Craft Card (White textured DL card)
Other Supplies: EAD Designs “Owl Friends” Stickerz, Annabelle Stamps Sprinkles – 4mm blackcurrant, AnnaBelle Stamps Natural Cotton Twine, Glossy Accents, Creative College blending chalks – blue, sponge dauber

Here ere are another two fabulous owl cards that I have come across recently in blogland that I simply ADORE! Check em out – Amy Wanford and Melania Deasy. Aren’t they just the cutest?

Thanks for stopping by. Oh and don’t forget the Print Candee is having their first Blog Hop this coming Wednesday…with lots of fabby prizes! You won’t want to miss it!

See you then,

Marion
