Gingham goodness

Hi everyone,

I have made this little gift bag for the Gingham Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. It came together really easily using a whole lot of leftovers. The little paper bag was also a leftover – after making mother’s day gifts for the Mums in my playgroup. I just stamped both sides with a gingham stamp from AnnaBelle stamps. I love how it turned out.

Inside it is filled with lots of chocolate goodness!

Supplies

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps BBD#7 stamp set, Hero Arts Live and Laugh stamp set

Ink: Memento ink – Blue Danube, Versafine – Onyx Black

Card: Hero Arts Layering paper – Grenadine, Punch and Carnation, AnnaBelle Stamps smooth white cardstock, Green cardstock (brand unknown)

Other Supplies:  Educational Experience – paper gift bag, MFT Upsy Daisy Die,  Sizzix Sizzlits die – Flowers Branches and Leaves, Cuttlebug, AnnaBelle Stamps 4mmSprinkles – Icicles, Tombow adhesive, AnnaBelle Stamps 16mm satin ribbon – Lime juice, hole punch, chocolate goodies

Say it With…Stitching

Welcome to another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps.

(Tag aco72)

Well this week I decided to challenge myself. I see loads of great cards with machine stitching on them, which I love. To be honest, I have never tried machine stitching on a card before as I have been too lazy to drag out the old sewing machine! I don’t have a craft room, so my space is limited, but this challenge made me dust off the cobwebs on my machine…and for my first attempt, I still managed to sew in a straight line (considering I haven’t used the thing in about 6 years!) My sister will be proud of me as she is a seamstress!

Obviously I am a little obsessed with creating my own dry embossed background on my score board (it is a phase that will no doubt end soon)…as this is about my 3rd card doing it! I have used BBD#7 for the gingham on the love hearts and the sentiment is from the Love Birds set.

I am entering this into the Gingham Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

Supplies

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps BBD#7 stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps Love Birds Stamp set

Ink: Memento ink – Blue Danube

Card: AnnaBelle Stamps smooth white cardstock, AnnaBelle Stamps Pre-cut smooth white square cards, Navy Blue card stock (brand unknown)

Other Supplies: Carl Craft heart punch – large and small, sponge dauber, sewing machine, Fiskars scallop border punch, Foam dimensionals, Martha Stewart score board, scoring stylus

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects. Their links are on my sidebar.

Until next time,

Marion

Acetate flowers

Hello again,

I am still on holidays, so I have been in crafty heaven (hence the number of posts!)

I have another card to share with you after playing around with my Upsy Daisy die from Die-namics. This time using acetate. Yep – that flower is made from acetate! I coloured it with some pigment ink that I found at my local art shop – I would have used alcohol inks if I owned them, but I don’t, so I went looking for a substitute. I was surprised at the things I found that could be used to colour acetate.

The flower has 3 layers to it and I used my heat gun to shape the flowers to give them some dimension.

I am entering this into the Lilypads Flower Challenge sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.

Supplies

Stamps: Hero Arts Background Flourish (CG119), AnnaBelle Stamps Background By Design #7

Ink: Distress Ink – Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Art Spectrum pigment ink – Crimson

Card: AnnaBelle Stamps Pre-cut smooth white card

Other Supplies: AnnaBelle Stamps Acetate sheets, Die-namics die – Upsy Daisy, Die-namics die – Labelled Layered die, Cuttlebug, Kaisercraft grosgrain ribbon – pale pink, AnnaBelle Stamps 3mm pearls, 3D foam adhesive, Ink blending tool, heat tool, Glossy Accents and Zots adhesive dots (to adhere flower).

Until next time,

Marion

Celebrate

Happy Sunday everyone,

I have had a bit of fun playing around with some stamps that haven’t been inked up often enough. It is my very special friend’s birthday, so I needed an appropriate card.

I have used one of the sketches from the current Hero Arts April challenge (as soon as I saw the sketch I knew I had to do something with it). I also decided to play along with the current CAS-ual Friday’s Opposites Attract Challenge CFC #48 (I have used blue and orange/yellow)  and finally LilyPads Cards have a flower Challenge sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.

I had fun making the flower tendrils – I put Glossy Accents on some twine and then wrapped it around a paintbrush until it dried.

Supplies

Stamps: Hero Arts Layered Flowers (CL496), Hero Arts Find Joy (CL497)

Ink: Distress Inks – Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Chipped Sapphire, Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, Peeled Paint, VersaFine Onyx Black

Card: Regal Craft Card – DL textured (card base cut smaller than a DL size), XPress It Blending card, Acquarello Watercolour paper

Other Supplies: Blending tool, AnnaBelle Stamps 0.8mm twine – white, 3D foam adhesive, Arbee Glue on Jewels – round clear, Kaisercraft gems, Glossy Accents, Vellum, Hero Arts ultra fine clear embossing powder, heat tool, Watercolour brush

Thanks for taking the time to drop by. Until next time,

Marion

Other Supplies: Die-namics Die – Hearts a Plenty, Cuttlebug, Jane’s Doodles button, AnnaBelle Stamps 0.8mm twine – white, Glue dots, 3D foam adhesive.
