Noel – Penny Black Merry and Joy Inspiration #3

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is merry-and-joy.jpg

I’m back again with another Christmas card using new Penny Black products from their latest releases, ‘Merry and Joy’.

I stamped and coloured the Winter Garden cling stamp onto some Neenah Solar white card stock using a stamping press and Memento Tuxedo black ink. I then coloured in the image with Copic markers, using more wintery muted tones. Once I had finished colouring the image, I re-stamped it again, but this time with VersaFine Onyx black ink. I like to do this as it gives a crisper, more defined image. I then fussy cut around the whole image.

I die cut the Star Noel creative die several times from white card stock and adhered them together to create a thicker sentiment. For the top layer, I covered the surface in embossing ink and Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder and heat set it. I did two layers of embossing powder, as this gave a smoother and thicker finish.

I adhered all the elements onto a circle shaped note card, which I created myself.

I added in some details onto the berries with a white gel pen.

Jane’s Doodles – Purr-fect day, Sending Hugs and Thankful

Jane's Doodle Banner

I have some Jane’s Doodles cards to share with you today that have been on the Jane’s Doodles blog over the last month or so.

I’ve been on a colour blocking theme of late, and the following two cards use this technique. Head here for the original post. This card uses the Cats stamp set.

Next up is this card which uses the Seamus stamp set and the sentiment is from the All Occasions stamp set. You can find the original post here.

And finally, I have this floral card which uses the Magnolia stamp set and the sentiment is from the Hello Fall stamp set. You can find to the original post here. I created the score lines using a score board and I used an embossing mat to create the oval impression in the centre of the card.

Merry – Penny Black Merry and Joy Inspiration #1

Hello! I’ve got some new Penny Black goodies in the house from their latest releases (Merry and Joy and Autumn Bliss) and I’m excited to start sharing some cards I’ve made with you here at my blog.

This is my first Christmas card for the year and it features a gorgeous creative cut called Bird Ornament. I die cut it from white card stock and coloured in the bird, branches and berries with Copic markers. I then inlaid all the pieces back in around the coloured images. I die cut another bird ornament and trimmed out the inner parts of the die cut to leave the border and ornament top, which I coloured with grey copics and adhered with a liquid adhesive.

The sentiment is from the Merry Builder stamp set, and the branch image in the background is from the Trinkets stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by. To view and or purchase any of these new products from these releases, head to the Penny Black online store.

I’ll be back really soon with some more cards,

Marion

Jane’s Doodles – Celebrate

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hi there! I have a really fun card to share with you using Jane’s Doodles stamps. This card has been CASED from a super cute card made by Vanessa Menhorn – and she kindly allowed me to borrow her design. You can find her amazing card and blog here.

I masked off the background with some washi tape and used several Distress Oxide ink combinations to ink up the 3 rectangles. I then stamped the three critters from the Outdoors set and coloured them with Copics. I then trimmed them off in the right places before foam mounting them onto the background. The sentiment is from the All Occasions stamp set.

Such a cute design and I want to thank Vanessa for allowing me to use it. Be sure to check out her blog and her other amazing cards.

Jane’s Doodles – Sending Hugs

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello friends. Today I am sharing a Jane’s Doodles tag with you that I haven’t shared here yet! You can find the original post here on the Jane’s Doodles blog.

If you have followed me for a while, you will know that I love to make tags. They often go onto little gifts for friends or family. The butterflies come from the Doodle Butterflies stamp set and sentiment is from the All Occasions stamp set.

To add some texture on the tag (which is a Penny Black die called Tagged) I used this stencil and some texture paste. I coloured the butterflies in with Copic markers – no surprise there!

Hugs – Penny Black Dreaming Inspiration #6

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is penny-black-dreaming-june-2019.jpg

Hi. I’m back sharing another Penny Black card using yet another cute bear image from the Dreaming release. This bear stamp is called Pawsome Present. I also used the Polaroid die and die cut it from some green card stock. To add some interest to the frame, I stamped some foliage images in green ink for a tone one tone effect. These foliage images are from the Special Friends and the Butterfly Garden sets.

For the subtle chevron pattern on yellow base card, I inked up a sponge dauber with some yellow ink and used the Zigs & Zags stencil. The sentiment is from the Huggable stamp set.
