Flower Cascade

simplicity sister

Hello! I’m back with another card for Penny Black. This card uses a beautiful new cling stamp called Flower Cascade.

PB Enjoy | Marion Vagg

I stamped the image in the top right hand corner and coloured it with Copic Markers. I coloured and cut out another flower and adhered it with foam squares to add some dimension to the card. The enjoy sentiment is a die cut from the Hooray creative die set.

Sunny Studio Guest Designer

Hello. Yesterday I had the privilege of being a Guest Designer on the Sunny Studio blog. I was super fun to ink up some of the latest Autumn release stamp sets – lots of class and cuteness. I recommend that you check out the Sunny Studio store for all their great products if you haven’t already.

This first card uses the Autumn Splendor stamp set. It was fun mixing different colours to create the two-toned leaves. The sentiment was stamped onto a Sunny Studio Stitched Heart shaped die.

Grateful for you Sunny Studio | Marion Vagg

Next up I used the Woodsy Creatures stamp set to create this hilarious bunch of selfie-taking critters! I gave this to a colleague at work.

Just For You Card Set – Penny Black

simplicity sister

Today I have set of four cards to share with you using some new Penny Black products. I used the Swirl Squares creative dies to create a focal panel for each card – one of each design. I used the inlaid die cutting technique – it was a little time consuming placing all the pieces back in, but well worth it in the end. The sentiment is from the Holiday Snippets stamp set and is white heat embossed. Each panel is raised on some craft foam and to finish each one off I adhered a metallic gem.

A couple of Jane’s Doodles projects

Jane's Doodle Banner

I have a couple of Jane’s Doodles projects to share with you today. You can find the original posts on the Jane’s Doodles blog here and here.

First up is a little tag which uses the Cake! stamp set and it was super quick to make. I’ve actually had the splattered background sitting on my desk for a while, but it was pretty easy to create – a touch of Distress ink watercolouring and some splatters. I stamped the cake image and didn’t want it to compete with the background, so I kept it fairly plain and just added some shading with some light grey Copic markers. It’s got some shimmer with some Wink of Stella, but it is hard to see in the photo.

Next up is a happy hello card which features the Love Birds and Daisies stamp set. I stamped the hello sentiment repeatedly in different colours but I drew in some lines to help me get things straight. Once again, the little bird shimmers with a Wink of Stella. Boy I love that pen!

A couple of projects – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello crafty peeps. I hope you have been getting in lots of crafty time – because I certainly haven’t. I feel like I am burning the candle at both ends at the moment – and to top it off I have hurt my back, at the gym of all places! I just can’t seem to win!

Anyway, I have a couple of Jane’s Doodles projects to share with you from the last couple of weeks. You can find the posts on the Jane’s Doodles blog here and here.

First up this little tag uses the Special Delivery stamp set. The stamp has a baby in the pram, but I swapped it out for the teddy bear.

JD Bundle | Marion Vagg

My second card uses quite a few Jane’s Doodle stamp sets. I created the bubbly background using the Stripes and Dots stamp set. I used first, second and third generation stamping in 3 different colours as well as white. I stamped onto watercolour paper, as that is what I had layering around. For the smallest dot, I used the eraser on the end of my pencil. The crab is from the Under the Sea set and coloured with Copics. The sentiment is from the Doodle Flowers stamp set.
