Hi there! I have a really fun card to share with you using Jane’s Doodles stamps. This card has been CASED from a super cute card made by Vanessa Menhorn – and she kindly allowed me to borrow her design. You can find her amazing card and blog here.
I masked off the background with some washi tape and used several Distress Oxide ink combinations to ink up the 3 rectangles. I then stamped the three critters from the Outdoors set and coloured them with Copics. I then trimmed them off in the right places before foam mounting them onto the background. The sentiment is from the All Occasions stamp set.
Such a cute design and I want to thank Vanessa for allowing me to use it. Be sure to check out her blog and her other amazing cards.

Hello friends. Today I have many Jane’s Doodles cards that I am sharing with you. They have been over on the Jane’s Doodles blog, but I have neglected to share them here – so strap yourself in, as there are a few cards.
The first card is my latest card that went up on the Jane’s Doodles blog today. The link to that post is here. This card was very much inspired by this card from Michelle from The Card Grotto. I love Michelle’s clean and simple style, and this card caught my eye a while ago. Thanks for all your inspiration Michelle! I’m a big fan!
I white heat embossed the butterflies from the Doodle Butterflies stamp set and some hearts from the Unicorn set before ink blending over the top. The Sending Hugs portion of the sentiment is from the All Occasions stamp set.
The next card uses the new Jane’s Doodle Poppy stamp set. I stamped and coloured the images with Copic markers and added shading with Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment is from the Girlfriend set. The link to that post is here.
The next card uses Doodle Butterflies again. I stamped and coloured the images with Copic markers and created a Distress ink wash for the background. The sentiment is from the Girlfriend set. The link to that post is here.
I had fun pulling out the Dogs stamp set to create this little scene. Again coloured with Copics. The background is Distress Oxide ink blending. The link to that post is here.
Moving along…This card uses the Happy Camper set. I love creating little scenes. The link to that card is here.
It’s no surprise that I love to create tags, and this is no exception. The link to this card is here. I used texture paste and a stencil to create the background. It created a perfect backdrop for the flowers from the Plumeria stamp set. The sentiment is from the All Occasions set.
This next card makes me happy! I love how it turned out. You can find the original link here. I used a mask to create the background. The stamp sets used are Rain or Shine and Life is Good.
Almost there….the next card uses a Christmas set called Driving Home for Christmas, but I thought I would use it for a different occasion. It also uses the Patterns and Cake! stamp sets. The original link is here.
And finally, I have a Thankful card using the Plumeria stamp set. The sentiment is from the Thankful set. The original post can be found here.
Phew. If you are still with me…congratulations! I didn’t realise I hadn’t posted so many of my Jane’s Doodles cards here to my blog.

Hello. I hope your week is off to a great start. I’m back with another Penny Black card using products from their latest release.
Today I have used a fabulous new creative die set called Rustic Birdhouse. I love the woodgrain detail of the house. I die cut the bird house and then coloured it with Copic markers. I die cut the outer house frame three times and stacked them up for dimension.
I masked the edges of the card with some washi tape and I also created a cloud mask from some masking paper. I then sponged on some clouds (Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink) and greenery (Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink) to create a subtle background.
The sentiment is from a great new set called Special Sentiments and is stamped in VersaFine Onyx black ink.
To view and or purchase any of the new products from the Full Bloom release, head to the Penny Black online store and click on the ‘New’ link under the product heading on the left hand side.
Thanks for your company today. If you want to know about any of the products I have used, just contact me.
Happy Sunday! I’m back today with another cute Penny Black critter from their latest release called Full Bloom. It’s no secret I’m in love with these little bears, and this one I’ve used today has especially won my heart. It’s called …Star and has a coordinating creative die as well.
My daughter loves soccer and this is her second season. I made this card for a friend of hers who plays on the same team, and celebrated her birthday this weekend.
To make something a little different to my standard card, I made a gatefold card. The image was coloured with Copic Markers and the sun and background were created with Distress Oxide inks (Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn, Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber).
The #1 die cut on the inside of the card comes in the same …Star cut out die set. The friend sentiment is from the Number 1 stamp set and it is a great set as it has many names which could be substituted such as Dad, Mom, Teacher etc.
The cloud die cut is an older one, but a good one called Silver Linings.
Hello friends! Today I have a card to share (and the first of a few) showcasing some of the new stamps and dies from Penny Black’s latest release called Full Bloom.
For today’s card I couldn’t go past these adorable sea dogs just hanging out in a boat. Too cute! The stamp is called Friendship and the coordinating die is called Friendship cut out (and in this case I only used the sun from the die set).
I stamped the image onto my card panel and coloured it with Copic markers. I then created a mask, and made by own sunny background rays using some thin washi tape. I sponged on some Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber Distress oxide ink. I extended the waves under the boat and created another hand cut mask and sponged on some Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers Distress oxide ink. I popped up the sun with some mounting tape. The sentiment is from the same Friendship set.
Hello friends! It’s been a little while since I have posted. Not because I haven’t been card making, just because life has been super busy and I haven’t got around to posting!
Today’s card is another adorable Penny Black critter from the Timeless release called Flower Teddy, which I haven’t had a chance to colour until now. I reached for Copic markers again (no surprise there), but I spiced things up a bit with an artsy and inky border.
The border was created by die cutting an oval from white card stock and then inking it with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink. I them spritzed the PB Honeycomb stencil with water and placed it randomly onto the inked border (where the water bleached the ink). To add to the distressed look, I also flicked on water, added some Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink and then in some places, inked over the stencil.
The sentiment is from the Happy Hugs stamp set (which I only stamped the Hugs and left off the Happy part). I finished off the card with some white gel pen details on the flowers and grounded the image by creating a floor with Prismacolor pencils.
Stamps: Penny Black Flower Teddy and Happy Hugs stamp sets
Card: Neenah Solar white card stock
Ink: VersaFine ink, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Distress Oxide ink – Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire
Other Supplies: Penny Black Honeycomb stencil, ink blending tool, Copic markers (I didn’t keep track of the ones I used!), Oval die cut, Cuttlebug, Water bottle for spritzing, Pentel pigment white gel pen, Prismacolor pencils (grey tones)
