Trust Me – Penny Black ‘Refreshing’ Inspiration #4

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is refreshing-banner-1.jpg

Good evening! I’ve had a rather crafty weekend and I’m back to share with you some more Penny Black goodness using products from the Refreshing release.

Today’s card uses a beautiful vase of flowers from the Refreshing stamp set. I stamped it onto some Neenah Solar white cardstock and then coloured it with Copic markers. I really love the yellowy-orange and teal combination of colours. Something a little different for me.

The sentiment is from the Trust Me Builder stamp set. I stamped the Trust Me in black ink, then white heat embossed the ‘You’re lovely’ portion onto some card stock and popped it up with some foam tape.

In order to match the card base to the colours on the vase, I simply coloured the edge of my white notecard with one of the Copic marker colours I used…and no one will ever know that the whole card base isn’t that colour!

Just For You – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello, I’m back with another card for Jane’s Doodles. Today I have used the the Life is Good stamp set. Jane is currently enjoying a much needed break, so the store won’t be open until the 20th of August.

I stamped the images onto some Neenah white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then coloured the images with Copic markers before fussy cutting them out.

I masked off a rectangle on the card base and created the green background with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Oxide inks.

If you have any questions, just contact me and I’d be happy to answer them.

Thanks for stopping by,

Marion

You Are Appreciated – Penny Black ‘Refreshing’ Inspiration #1

Hello! Today I have the pleasure of sharing with you a card I have made using the latest release from Penny Black called Refreshing.

Today’s card features a sweet critter which comes from the Plant Joy stamp set. I stamped it onto some Neenah white card stock and coloured him in with Copic Markers. To add in some of the finer details and shading, I used Prismacolor pencils.

The sentiment is made from two different sets. The ‘You’ is from the Only You stamp set (from a previous release), and the ‘are appreciated’ portion is from a set from this release called Trust Me Builder.

For the dots in the background card base were made using the Oscillations stencil.

Thanks for stopping by. To view and or purchase any of these new products from these releases, head to the Penny Black online store.

If you have any questions, just email me. I’ll be back really soon with some more more cards,

Until then,

Hello – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

I’m back again, and unlike my last post, I have a card to share! I hope you managed to hop along on the Jane’s Doodles new release blog hop. If not, head here to begin the hop – and there is also a chance to win a stamp set of your choice! Jane is also having a 30% off sale.

Today it is my turn on the JD blog, and I have created a colourful floral card using the Bloom stamp set.

I had some fun with some texture paste, which I haven’t used in ages! I pulled out the Small Brick Wall stencil from MFT – I love the imperfections around the edges.

I stamped and coloured the flowers in Versamark ink onto some Strathmore Bristol card stock and did some watercolouring with some Zig Real Colour Brush markers.

I die cut a rectangle frame from cream card stock using the MFT Stitched Rectangle Stax dies and the Hello sentiment is actually part of this Christmas die set from Penny Black.

I added dimension to most of the elements using mounting foam. If you have any questions about my card, just email me.

Until next time,

Marion

Jane’s Doodles cards

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hey friends. I hope that you are doing OK in these unprecedented times. Schools haven’t officially closed in Australia, but many parents are choosing to keep their kids at home, so even though I am still going to school each day, all teaching has gone on-line! What a steep learning curve that has been over the past 2 weeks! I am now recording video lessons and managing an online class (with about 8 students still remaining at school!) So glad the Easter holidays are just around the corner!

Anyway, today I have some Jane’s Doodles projects to share with you from the past month. I’ll start with today’s card which is bright and happy one using the WildFlowers stamp set and the All Occasions sentiment stamp set.

I stamped the floral cluster in my stamping press and then rotated it 180 degrees and stamped again. Coloured it with Copics and added some lines with a marker to create a border. The sentiment is white heat embossed onto some black card stock and I added a touch of white gel pen to some flowers.

Next up are some older projects that I just haven’t got around to sharing until now. This tag was made with the Suzi’s Easter stamp set.

And this cute birthday card was made with the Unicorn and Magical stamp sets.

Thanks for stopping by. Email me if you want to know any additional information about my cards.

FREE SHIPPING: Jane has free worldwide shipping at the moment, so why not take advantage of that have a browse in the shop. Head here to view all of Jane’s stamps.

Stay safe and craft on! Until next time.

Hello Friend – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello there friends! Happy New Year. Can you believe we have ticked over into 2020?

Well I have been rather silent for a while – I actually took some time off from my DT work and card making in general, as I just needed a break. December is hectic in my household, with school finishing up for the year, my kid’s birthdays and Christmas. Plus we added in a much needed family summer holiday, which we very much enjoyed.

Well I am back at my crafting desk now and am enjoying the slower pace of life. I’m onto my third novel already!

Anyway, I’m back with a Jane’s Doodle card to share with you using the Monster Squad stamp set. The images are coloured with Copic markers and I fussy cut them out.

I managed to get some new crafty goodies for Christmas, and the die cut frame is one of them. It is the stitched collage frame from My Favorite Things, but I only used a portion of it. The sentiment is white heat embossed and is from the same Jane’s Doodles Monster Squad set.

Thanks for stopping by today – I appreciate it. Remember to email me if you have any questions about my card.

I’ll be back really soon,

Marion
