Happy Heart Day – Penny Black Release Blog Hop and Giveaway

Hello! It’s a “Party with Penny!”. You’re invited to join in the fun over the next several days as Penny Black reveals their newest collection of stamps and dies, Happy Heart Day.

Penny Black is kicking off the party with a blog hop!

You should have arrived here from Susie Lessard’s blog. If you want to start the hop from the beginning, you can go to the Penny Black blog for a complete list of all of the blog hop participants.

For this blog hop I’ve created two cards using some A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E love-themed stamp sets. My first card uses the PB 30-535 ‘Reserved Space’ stamp set and the sentiment is from the PB 30-526 ‘So Much Love’ stamp set. I stamped the image and coloured it with Copic markers. I extended the grass line along the bottom with a Copic multi-liner and sponged on some clouds using a hand-cut cloud mask to complete the scene.

My next card uses the the PB 30-524 ‘Happy Hugs’ stamp set and the sentiment is from the PB 30-526 ‘So Much Love’ stamp set. I’ve also used some older Penny Black products to complete this cute little love bird scene – 51-057 Polaroid Creative die and 25-014 Oscillations stencil. I coloured this scene with Copic markers and added some fine details with a white gel pen.

I hope you will check out the latest Penny Black catalog – there are some awesome products in there!

And it wouldn’t be a party without a giveaway; right?  Penny Black is giving away a $50 shopping spree to the Penny Black online store to THREE lucky winners.  To enter, leave a comment on any blog hop post (this one included). The giveaway closes on Sunday, December 23rd at 11:59 PM PST and winners will be announced on the Penny Black blog on December 31.

Jane’s Doodle New Release Blog Hop

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello and welcome to the Jane’s Doodles blog hop where the Design team are showcasing Jane’s latest stamp release – three new stamp sets that are simply adorable. You should have arrived from Milka’s blog. If you get lost along the way, there is a list of blog hop contributors at the end of this post.

Without further ado, here are the three new sets – and I think you are going to love them!

Happer Camper

Outdoors

Patterns

I have two cards to share with you today. The first up uses my favourite animal from the Outdoor set – the moose! He is simply adorable! The trees are from the Happy Camper stamp set.

I partially die cut a circle from white card stock to create the focal piece. This was inked up with Distress Oxide inks. All images were stamped, coloured with Copics then fussy cut. I mounted the focal panel with 3D mounting squares onto a white card base.

My next card uses elements from all three of the new sets. The Patterns stamp set was used to create the tone-on-tone background arrow pattern. Again all images were stamped, coloured with Copic markers and fussy cut. This card is quite a long card (23 cms) so I will be making a custom envelope for this one.

Giveaway:
In addition to Jane having a 20% off sale on all clear stamps until this Tuesday, she is giving a stamp set of your choice to one lucky winner. All you need to do is comment on all the blogs in the hop and you’ll be in with a chance to win! The winner will be announced this Wednesday. Good luck!

Jane’s Doodles Cards Galore!

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello! Long time no hear! My life has been somewhat hectic of late, and I haven’t had a lot of time for card making or blogging!

However, I have today off from work and I thought I would catch up on my blog and the cards that I have made for Jane’s Doodles over the past 6 weeks or so that I haven’t posted here yet. Buckle in! I’ll keep it brief. I won’t list the supplies for each one, as I’m not sure it is worth my while, but if you want to know something, just contact me!

First up is a card that is going up on the JD blog tonight – so consider it a preview! It uses the Mom and Bless Your Heart stamp sets.

Next up are two cards that use the Oh Ship! stamp set. The sentiment on the first card is from the Birthday Wishes stamp set and the small sentiment on the second cards is from the All Occasions stamp set.

The next card uses the Tropical Fun stamp set – perfect summery images in this set.

Birthday cards and tags are always needed in my house, so the next two cards have been or will be put to use very quickly. They use the Magical stamp set.

Supplies

Stamps: See links under each card

If you stuck around with me for this long, well done! Please contact if you want to know specific supplies. I’ll be back next week for a Jane’s Doodles blog hop featuring some new stamp sets. Until then,

Hello! Today I have a Jane’s Doodles card to share with you using the Bear Hugs stamp set.

I tried to create a scene that incorporated the Northern Lights. Not sure I fully achieved my goal, but I had a lot of fun and got very inky in the process.

One day I hope to experience the Northern Lights with my own eyes. I find it a fascinating phenomenon – God’s handiwork and artistry for all to enjoy.

Stamps: Jane’s Doodles Bear Hugs stamp set

Card: Neenah solar white card stock

Ink: Memento Tuxedo black ink, VersaFine Onyx black ink, Distress Oxide inks – Lucky Clover, Twisted Citron, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch

Other Supplies: Copic markers, White gel pen, Prismacolor pencil – grey, Spray bottle, Paper towel

Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to check out the Jane’s Doodle blog for daily inspiration.

Cute Critters – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello friends. My life has been somewhat busy lately as I’ve been writing school reports, and I haven’t had a lot of time to craft. However, I’m pleased to announce that I’m almost finished, and I’m looking forward to the next holiday in 3 weeks time.

Anyway, I’ve had two cards up on the Jane’s Doodle blog over the past few weeks that I haven’t shared here yet.

First up I’ve used the Belated Birthday set to make this cute little critter card. On the inside it says Happy Birthday. See the original post here.

The next card was made for a student in my class who was leaving. I didn’t get a photo of the inside, but it said ‘Have a whale of a time”. I used the Under the Sea stamp set. I love making little scenes, and Jane’s sets are really fun to mix and match. See the original post here.

Supplies

Stamps: Jane’s Doodles Under the Sea, Belated Birthday stamp sets

Card: Neenah solar white card stock

Ink: Versamark ink, Memento Tuxedo black ink, Distress Oxide ink – Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Peeled Paint, Salty Ocean

Other Supplies: Copic markers, MFT stitched rectangles dies, Cuttlebug, 3D mounting foam, Ink blending tool, Glossy Accents

Happy Birthday Crab – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Happy Saturday. I have a cute Jane’s Doodles card to share with you that I had a lot of fun making. Jane has some adorable stamp sets and it was really fun mixing some of these together. The crab is from the Under the Sea set and sentiment is from a set called Belated Birthday (I did a little stamp surgery here). The present is from a Christmas set called Driving Home for Christmas.

I started with a die cut circle which I blended with a mixture of Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch distress oxide inks. I splattered on some water to create the bubbles. The images were stamped and coloured with Copics and then fussy cut them out. The sand hill is hand cut.

This card is a little different as the focal image is on the inside of the card…and can be seen through the window.

Supplies

Stamps: Jane’s Doodles Under the Sea, Belated Birthday and Driving Home for Christmas stamp sets

Card: Neenah solar white card stock

Ink: Versamark ink, Memento Tuxedo black ink, Distress Oxide ink – Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch

Other Supplies: Copic markers, Spellbinders circle die, Cuttlebug, Googly eyes, 3D mounting foam, Ink blending tool

Thanks for stopping by. I’m off to watch the Royal wedding.
