Hello – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello! I am back with some Jane’s Doodles goodness. Today over on the JD blog I have made this super cute (and super quick) card using the Outdoors and Spring Time stamp sets (I can’t link to the store at the moment as Jane has gone on a much needed holiday for a few weeks).

The animals in this stamp set always make me smile. First I stamped the wreath onto some light blue coloured card stock. I then created a mask before stamping the moose. All coloured with Copic Markers and I add some details in with Prismacolor pencils.

If you have any questions, just contact me and I’d be happy to answer them.

Thanks for stopping by,

You Are Appreciated – Penny Black ‘Refreshing’ Inspiration #1

Hello! Today I have the pleasure of sharing with you a card I have made using the latest release from Penny Black called Refreshing.

Today’s card features a sweet critter which comes from the Plant Joy stamp set. I stamped it onto some Neenah white card stock and coloured him in with Copic Markers. To add in some of the finer details and shading, I used Prismacolor pencils.

The sentiment is made from two different sets. The ‘You’ is from the Only You stamp set (from a previous release), and the ‘are appreciated’ portion is from a set from this release called Trust Me Builder.

For the dots in the background card base were made using the Oscillations stencil.

Thanks for stopping by. To view and or purchase any of these new products from these releases, head to the Penny Black online store.

If you have any questions, just email me. I’ll be back really soon with some more more cards,

Until then,

Birthday Wishes – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

It’s Friday and I am finally on school holidays! It has been such a long and crazy term, teaching it half online and then the second half face-to-face. This year has professionally stretched me in more ways than I was anticipating – but finally I can now have 2 weeks to relax and play!

I’m sharing a Jane’s Doodles card that I made earlier in the week using Oh Ship!, Under the Sea and Birthday Wishes. I love making cute little scenes and many of Jane’s set help me do it so easily!

The frame I used is part of this MFT die – I just cut off the parts I didn’t need. All images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo black onto Neenah Solar white card stock and I fussy cut them out.

If you have any questions, just contact me and I’d be happy to help.

Thanks for stopping by,

Marion

Congratulations – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hi there. I’m getting a little bit slack posting to my blog of late. I’m an Instagram girl (@mademarionstudio) as I find it quick and easy. Most of my cards end up over there, as well as other bits and bobs, so feel free to follow if you don’t already.

I am posting a card for Jane’s Doodles which was up on her blog over a week ago. Head here to see that post.

I used the Special Delivery stamp set (stork and baby) and coloured them with Copics. The sentiment is from the All Occasions stamp set.

To create the cloud background, I used this Cloud Stencil from My Favorite Things and some Distress Oxide ink.

If you have any questions, just contact me and I’d be happy to help.

Thanks for stopping by,

You are Magical – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Good evening. I’m back sharing a card I had up on the Jane’s Doodles blog this week. I made it using the Magical stamp set and the sentiment came from the Unicorn stamp set.

I recently purchased this Cloud stencil from MFT (if you follow me you know I love cloud stencilling) and I love it. I started by created a cloud background using some different colours of Distress Oxide ink (Faded Jeans and Seedless Preserves). I then stamped and coloured the dragon and castle with Copic markers and fussy cut them out. The white cloud die cuts are from Penny Black and are called Silver Linings.

I adhered all the elements onto the cloud panel, popping some up on foam tape to add some dimension. The dragon has some clear Wink of Stella glitter on its wings and scales, but hard to see in the photos. I also added some white gel pen dots to the dragon’s body.

If you have any questions about my card, just email me.

I hope you have been getting some crafty time in.

Until next time,

Marion

Happy Birthday Kitty – Penny Black ‘Secret Garden’ Inspiration #4

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is secret-garden-facebook-graphic-1.jpg

Hello and Happy Easter! I hope you are safe and keeping sane! I’m back today sharing not one, but two projects using new products from the Penny Black release ‘Secret Garden’.

First I stamped the kitty image from the Fun Felines set onto some Neenah Solar white card stock and coloured it with Copic Markers. I fussy cut around the image.

To create the floral background, I stamped some of the foliage images from the Exquisite Envelope set in VersaFine Onyx black ink (as it is waterproof) around the edge of some Strathmore Bristol smooth white card stock. I then went to town and water coloured the images with my Zig Clean Colour real Brush pens and a water brush. It was so relaxing just to paint. Before adhering the kitty (which was foam mounted) I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Furry Smiles stamp set.

To finish off the card, I added some liquid pearl drops and some green dots (with a Copic marker) to add some subtle detail.

Next up I used the same kitty image from the Fun Felines set, but this time coloured him ginger instead. I stamped only one image from the Exquisite Envelope set repeatedly in VersaFine Sepia ink around the outside of the Tagged creative die.

The sentiment is from the Fun Felines set and was white heat embossed. I again mounted the kitty with some foam tape and added some white ribbon and thread to the top of the tag.

Thanks for stopping by. To view and or purchase any of these new products from these releases, head to the Penny Black online store.

If you have any questions, just email me.

Until next time, keep sane and keep on crafting!
