A Time For Love – Penny Black ‘Share the Love’ Inspiration #3

Hello! My school holidays are quickly coming to an end and next week school starts again. But no complaints here as I have had fun crafting, enjoying no routine and just relaxing!

Today I am sharing another instalment for Penny Black using products from their latest ‘Share the Love’ release. You can check out all the new products here.

I adore these two love bears, which are from the Take Me Away stamp set. I stamped them onto some Bristol card stock and used Zig Clean Color real brush markers to water colour them. The sentiment is from the Love Language stamp set.

I painted in a simple sky in the background to complete the scene. I added in some white gel pen detail to the balloons before adhering it to a blue notecard.

Thanks for stopping by. To view and or purchase any of these new products from these releases, head to the Penny Black online store.

If you have any questions, just email me.

I’ll be back soon,

Birthday Surprise Blog Hop for Jane and a Giveaway

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello friends – it has been a while I know! Today I am participating in a very special birthday blog hop for a very special lady – and that is Jane Beljo; the wonderful and uber talented woman behind Jane’s Doodles. Jane is a mum, a wife and a very hardworking woman who illustrates all her own stamps. I have had the privilege of working on Jane’s DT for many years now, and I just love her fun and whimsical designs. A big thank you to Milka for organising this hop.

You should have arrived from Linda Van Wely’s blog. There are a list of blog hop participants at the end of this post should you get lost along the way.

Today I have made a card for Jane to tell her how awesome she is and I hope you have an awesome birthday today. I have used Jane’s Tropical Fun and the All Occasions stamp sets.

I hope this summery card warms your heart Jane, even though you are probably knee-deep in snow! Summer is definitely here in Australia – so I hope I can send some warm sunshine your way.

Jane’s Doodles – Hello, Chameleon and a DT call

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello. I have two Jane’s Doodles cards to share which have been on the Jane’s Doodles blog, but not here on my personal blog.

First up is a card that uses the Plumeria and Cactus stamp sets. I stamped and coloured the frangipani blooms with Copic markers and tucked in a few extra leaves to fill out the cluster. The sun rays on the card base is an old Simon Says Stamp die that is discontinued, which I die cut from some acetate and used it as a stencil.

Next up is this very CASE chameleon card using the Chameleon stamp set – who doesn’t love a good old googly eye?

Again I used Copic markers to colour the image. I embossed a stitched border to add some interest, using a MFT rectangle stax die.

And before I go, just giving you the heads up that Jane is having a Challenge DT call. A very exciting development for Jane and her stamp company. Head here for all the details if you wish to apply.

If you want to know anything about any of my cards, just contact me through the email icon on my blog.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time,

Warm Hugs – Penny Black Merry and Joy Inspiration #4

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is merry-and-joy.jpg

I’m back with another Penny Black featuring products from the ‘Merry and Joy’ release.

This was a super simple card to create. I stamped the Carefree Christmas image onto some Neenah Solar White cardstock and coloured the image with Copics. When finished, I re-stamped the again (with a stamping press) in VersaFine Onyx black ink to intensify the black outlines. The sentiment is from the Merry Up stamp set.

I adhered the panel to a light blue coloured note card.

If you have any questions, just email me,

Until next time,

Jane’s Doodles – Purr-fect day, Sending Hugs and Thankful

Jane's Doodle Banner

I have some Jane’s Doodles cards to share with you today that have been on the Jane’s Doodles blog over the last month or so.

I’ve been on a colour blocking theme of late, and the following two cards use this technique. Head here for the original post. This card uses the Cats stamp set.

Next up is this card which uses the Seamus stamp set and the sentiment is from the All Occasions stamp set. You can find the original post here.

And finally, I have this floral card which uses the Magnolia stamp set and the sentiment is from the Hello Fall stamp set. You can find to the original post here. I created the score lines using a score board and I used an embossing mat to create the oval impression in the centre of the card.

If you want to know anything about any of my cards, just contact me through the email icon on my blog.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time,

Merry – Penny Black Merry and Joy Inspiration #1

Hello! I’ve got some new Penny Black goodies in the house from their latest releases (Merry and Joy and Autumn Bliss) and I’m excited to start sharing some cards I’ve made with you here at my blog.

This is my first Christmas card for the year and it features a gorgeous creative cut called Bird Ornament. I die cut it from white card stock and coloured in the bird, branches and berries with Copic markers. I then inlaid all the pieces back in around the coloured images. I die cut another bird ornament and trimmed out the inner parts of the die cut to leave the border and ornament top, which I coloured with grey copics and adhered with a liquid adhesive.

The sentiment is from the Merry Builder stamp set, and the branch image in the background is from the Trinkets stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by. To view and or purchase any of these new products from these releases, head to the Penny Black online store.

I’ll be back really soon with some more cards,

Marion
