Flower bird garden

So I have another card to share with you based on Day 11 (using reverse stamps) from the Stretch Your Stamps class over at Online Card Classes. Super fun! I only own 2 reverse stamps – so my choice was rather easy. I stamped the image in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and then coloured in the flowers and birds with Prismacolor pencils. Simple. To make the flowers pop more, I went around the outside of every image with a sharp black Prisma pencil.

I am entering this into the current CAS-uals Friday challenge CFC062 – Back in Black and also over at CASology where the cue card for Week #2 is Happy (ie; Happy Birthday).

Supplies

Stamps: Hero Arts Flower Bird Garden stamp (CG270), AnnaBelle Stamps Fanciful Flowers Stamp set

Ink: Versafine – Onyx Black

Card: Black card stock, AnnaBelle Stamps smooth white cardstock

Other Supplies: Fiskars stamp press, vellum, American Crafts embossing powder – black, heat tool, anti static pillow

Until next time,

Butterflies Three

Popping in quickly with another card for the current Hero Arts challenge which has a ‘Thinking of You’ theme. I inked up my new Hero Arts Leaf and Floral background in Versamark and clear embossed. I then used several blue Distress Inks over that…they resisted the embossed areas. I used a MFT butterfly die. Easy! Oh and the dry embossed border was done on my scoreboard.

Supplies

Stamps: Hero Arts Leaf and Floral Background (CG405), Hero Arts Classic Messages (CL414)

Ink: Versamark watermark ink, Distress markers – Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans, Broken China

Card: AnnaBelle Stamps smooth white pre-cut cards

Other Supplies: Blending tool, Hero Arts embossing powder, Heat tool, Basic Grey – buttons, AnnaBelle Stamps 0.8mm twine – natural, Martha Stewart scoreboard, MFT – Die-Namics butterflies, Cuttlebug, Zots glue dots

You’re in my Thoughts

Due to the long (wet and wintery) weekend that we’ve had here in Australia, I’ve managed to get crafty and ink up some stamps that I haven’t had a chance to ink up. I have created this one for the current Hero Arts challenge which has a ‘Thinking of You’ theme.

Using distress markers, I coloured right onto the stamp, spritzed with pearlised water and then stamped onto watercolour paper. Such a fun technique (which I have never tried before!) This is another reason why I LOVE my distress markers! I highly recommend them.

Supplies

Stamps:Hero Arts Etched Flowers (CG430), Hero Arts Live and Laugh (CL520)

Ink: Versafine – Vintage Sepia, Distress markers – Worn Lipstick, Fired Brick, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss

Card: Aquarello watercolour paper, Hero Arts Blush (mixed folding cards)

Other Supplies: Mini mister, Perfect pearls,  Martha Stewart Butterfly punch (3 in 1), vellum, AnnaBelle Stamps pearls – 3mm and 4mm, foam dimensionals, Gloss accents (to adhere butterflies).

Thanks for stopping by.

Gingham goodness

Hi everyone,

I have made this little gift bag for the Gingham Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. It came together really easily using a whole lot of leftovers. The little paper bag was also a leftover – after making mother’s day gifts for the Mums in my playgroup. I just stamped both sides with a gingham stamp from AnnaBelle stamps. I love how it turned out.

Inside it is filled with lots of chocolate goodness!

Supplies

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps BBD#7 stamp set, Hero Arts Live and Laugh stamp set

Ink: Memento ink – Blue Danube, Versafine – Onyx Black

Card: Hero Arts Layering paper – Grenadine, Punch and Carnation, AnnaBelle Stamps smooth white cardstock, Green cardstock (brand unknown)

Other Supplies:  Educational Experience – paper gift bag, MFT Upsy Daisy Die,  Sizzix Sizzlits die – Flowers Branches and Leaves, Cuttlebug, AnnaBelle Stamps 4mmSprinkles – Icicles, Tombow adhesive, AnnaBelle Stamps 16mm satin ribbon – Lime juice, hole punch, chocolate goodies

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a fabulous day!

Until next time,

Acetate flowers

Hello again,

I am still on holidays, so I have been in crafty heaven (hence the number of posts!)

I have another card to share with you after playing around with my Upsy Daisy die from Die-namics. This time using acetate. Yep – that flower is made from acetate! I coloured it with some pigment ink that I found at my local art shop – I would have used alcohol inks if I owned them, but I don’t, so I went looking for a substitute. I was surprised at the things I found that could be used to colour acetate.

The flower has 3 layers to it and I used my heat gun to shape the flowers to give them some dimension.

I am entering this into the Lilypads Flower Challenge sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.

Supplies

Stamps: Hero Arts Background Flourish (CG119), AnnaBelle Stamps Background By Design #7

Ink: Distress Ink – Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Art Spectrum pigment ink – Crimson

Card: AnnaBelle Stamps Pre-cut smooth white card

Other Supplies: AnnaBelle Stamps Acetate sheets, Die-namics die – Upsy Daisy, Die-namics die – Labelled Layered die, Cuttlebug, Kaisercraft grosgrain ribbon – pale pink, AnnaBelle Stamps 3mm pearls, 3D foam adhesive, Ink blending tool, heat tool, Glossy Accents and Zots adhesive dots (to adhere flower).

Until next time,
