Jane’s Doodles New Release Blog Hop and a Giveaway

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello friends and welcome to another Jane’s Doodles blog hop where the Design team are showcasing Jane’s latest stamp sets! You should have arrived from Kaja’s blog.

Before I get to the blog hop, we are welcoming another very talented lady to the DT and that is Linda from Stampin with Liz Design. Please make sure you give her an extra special welcome on the hop and check out all of her AMAZING creations.

For this blog hop there are 4 new Christmas sets being released. If you get lost along the way, there is a list of blog hop contributors at the end of this post.

First up is a card that uses Winter Village. I stamped the buildings first and then coloured them with Copic markers. I then used a black fine line pen to join the snow banks together. For the night sky I used some watercolour paints first, then when that was dry I sponged on some distress inks to intensify the edges. I finally added some stars with a white gel pen. The sentiment is from the Winter Words set.

Next up is a card that uses the Snow Globe set. This set has so many cute images with so many possibilities. I kept this one pretty simple and just added in the penguin, present and snow flakes. You can’t tell in the photo, but it also has some subtle shimmer on the scarf and beanie.

Giveaway:
In addition to Jane having a 30% off sale on all clear stamps until this Thursday, she is giving a stamp set of your choice to one lucky winner. All you need to do is comment on all the blogs in the hop and you’ll be in with a chance to win! Good luck! The winner will be announce on Friday.

Jane’s Doodles – Hello, Chameleon and a DT call

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello. I have two Jane’s Doodles cards to share which have been on the Jane’s Doodles blog, but not here on my personal blog.

First up is a card that uses the Plumeria and Cactus stamp sets. I stamped and coloured the frangipani blooms with Copic markers and tucked in a few extra leaves to fill out the cluster. The sun rays on the card base is an old Simon Says Stamp die that is discontinued, which I die cut from some acetate and used it as a stencil.

Next up is this very CASE chameleon card using the Chameleon stamp set – who doesn’t love a good old googly eye?

Again I used Copic markers to colour the image. I embossed a stitched border to add some interest, using a MFT rectangle stax die.

And before I go, just giving you the heads up that Jane is having a Challenge DT call. A very exciting development for Jane and her stamp company. Head here for all the details if you wish to apply.

Jane’s Doodles New Release Blog Hop and a Giveaway

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello and welcome to another Jane’s Doodles blog hop where the Design team are showcasing Jane’s latest stamp set called Cozy Up! You should have arrived from Kaja’s blog. If you get lost along the way, there is a list of blog hop contributors at the end of this post.

Without further ado, here is the Cozy Up! stamp set.

I’ve made two very different cards using this set. The first one has quite a retro feel to it. I masked off several areas using washi tape, and made sure that the stamps fit into the space I was creating for them. I then inked up each rectangle using a variety of Distress Oxide inks (I gave my daughter free range of the colour choices and where to put them – and I think she did a great job). All that was left to do, was stamp the images from the set with a new rich black ink – I used VersaFine Onyx black ink.

The second card is a little bit more traditional in style. I stamped and coloured the images in with Copics and used a MFT die to cut out the arched shape. This sentiment is from an older set (but one I reach for ALL the time) and is called All Occasions. I haven’t used patterned paper in so long, so it was fun to create a wallpaper feel for the background.

Giveaway:
In addition to Jane having a 25% off sale on all clear stamps until this Wednesday, she is giving a stamp set of your choice to one lucky winner. All you need to do is comment on all the blogs in the hop and you’ll be in with a chance to win! Good luck!

Jane’s Doodles – Purr-fect day, Sending Hugs and Thankful

Jane's Doodle Banner

I have some Jane’s Doodles cards to share with you today that have been on the Jane’s Doodles blog over the last month or so.

I’ve been on a colour blocking theme of late, and the following two cards use this technique. Head here for the original post. This card uses the Cats stamp set.

Next up is this card which uses the Seamus stamp set and the sentiment is from the All Occasions stamp set. You can find the original post here.

And finally, I have this floral card which uses the Magnolia stamp set and the sentiment is from the Hello Fall stamp set. You can find to the original post here. I created the score lines using a score board and I used an embossing mat to create the oval impression in the centre of the card.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time,

Jane’s Doodles – Celebrate

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hi there! I have a really fun card to share with you using Jane’s Doodles stamps. This card has been CASED from a super cute card made by Vanessa Menhorn – and she kindly allowed me to borrow her design. You can find her amazing card and blog here.

I masked off the background with some washi tape and used several Distress Oxide ink combinations to ink up the 3 rectangles. I then stamped the three critters from the Outdoors set and coloured them with Copics. I then trimmed them off in the right places before foam mounting them onto the background. The sentiment is from the All Occasions stamp set.

Such a cute design and I want to thank Vanessa for allowing me to use it. Be sure to check out her blog and her other amazing cards.

Jane’s Doodles – Sending Hugs

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello friends. Today I am sharing a Jane’s Doodles tag with you that I haven’t shared here yet! You can find the original post here on the Jane’s Doodles blog.

If you have followed me for a while, you will know that I love to make tags. They often go onto little gifts for friends or family. The butterflies come from the Doodle Butterflies stamp set and sentiment is from the All Occasions stamp set.

To add some texture on the tag (which is a Penny Black die called Tagged) I used this stencil and some texture paste. I coloured the butterflies in with Copic markers – no surprise there!

If you want to know anything about any of my cards, just contact me through the email icon on my blog.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time,
