Seamus – Jane’s Doodles Blog hop

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello! Welcome to the Jane’s Doodles spotlight blog hop, where we are showcasing the ADORABLE Seamus stamp set. Isn’t he just the sweetest?

seamus

I had a LOT of fun creating with this little guy – so much personality. I think it is my favourite JD stamp set to date!

First up I have Seamus juggling some shiny hearts. I curved the sentiment on this one.

My second card was cased from this card by Christine. I loved her card design and thought Seamus could get a very similar treatment.

For Some Bunny Special

Jane's Doodle Banner

Yesterday it was my turn over on the Jane’s Doodles blog. I had a lot of fun making this cute little bunny which is from the Spring stamp set. The background was also created using Jane’s new Stripes and Dots set. I added some Wink of Stella to the ears, tummy and bow for some sparkle.

A challenge with Therese

Today my blogging buddy Therese Calvird and I have a little treat for you. When we met in person over a year ago, we decided that we should have a mini challenge between us. It has taken a little while to get off the ground, but better late than never right?

For today’s challenge we are using this gorgeous cake as our inspiration.

I loved the airy look of the butterflies and the overall colour scheme. Here is what I came up with.

You're Loved | Marion Vagg

I white heat embossed the Hero Arts Antique Engraving’s butterfly onto vellum and cut it out. The leaves are also die cut from vellum to replicate that airy look on the cake. In order to create some interest in the background, I blended in some distress inks and then using a Studio Calico Chevron mask, I lightly spritzed it with some water. The water reacts with the distress ink and created a watermark look.

You're Love - Detail | Mario Vagg

Well I am off to Therese’s blog – Lostinpaper, to she what gorgeous creation she has made. How about you hop on over as well?

Playing around with Plaid

Today I am donning my Laura Bassen hat and attempting to create a plaid pattern for the first time for the online card class – Clean and Simple Card making 3.

CS3_paticipant

I created the stripes using masking tape as shown in her video. I could watch this woman stamp all day – so much talent and comedy all wrapped up in one video. Below are two versions that I came up with.
