Playing around with Plaid
Today I am donning my Laura Bassen hat and attempting to create a plaid pattern for the first time for the online card class – Clean and Simple Card making 3.
I created the stripes using masking tape as shown in her video. I could watch this woman stamp all day – so much talent and comedy all wrapped up in one video. Below are two versions that I came up with.
I’m also popping this over in the February Work it Wednesday gallery on the Simon Says Stamp Blog.
Supplies
Stamps: Simon Says Stamp ‘You’ Stamp set
Card: AnnaBelle Stamps Smooth White Cardstock
Ink: VersaFine – Onyx Black, Distress Ink – Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn
Other Supplies: MFT Heart Stax dies, Cuttlebug, Inkadinkadoo Masking paper, Sponge daubers, Eclipse masking tape
Thanks for stopping by,
Absolutely stunning – and well done incorporating techniques from the last lesson!
Wow – both of these are beautiful. I love the masked heart. I am going to be CASEing this idea for sure. Thanks so much for sharing.
You wear “Laura’s hat” very well, Marion – brilliant stamping 🙂
Ok, I like yours better than mine! AWESOME plaid…so bright, vivid and happy♥
These are fabulous!!!
Nice combination of the two techniques! I’ll bet this card gets picked for the show-and-tell day at the end of class. 🙂
Wow awesome plaid design!
More great results, you get an A+ in my books!
This technique is on my ‘to do’ homework, all planned out like a good girl, but planning and following through with the original idea are two totally different things lol.
Love how you incorporated the plaid on the card with the masking! 🙂
