Happy Birthday Dino-mite – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner
It was my turn on the Jane’s Doodles blog a couple of days ago where I shared this cute dinosaur card. This little guy is from the Dino-mite stamp set. Coloured with Copics and I hand drew the speech bubble.

Smile with Penny Black

Merry Christmas! I hope that you had a fabulous Christmas time with your family and friends.

Today I am sharing a tag with you using some Penny Black products. It felt good to get all crafty again…I don’t think I have made anything in the last 3 weeks – but we are finally home and enjoying some down time after the busyness (and fun) of the last month!

This tag is made purely from die cuts. The tag and the hexagon shape are from the Tagged Creative die set (I think I ran it through my Cuttlebug around 40 times to get all those hexagons!). Not a quick tag to make, but I had a lot of fun and I love the clean and graphic look! After all, it is rainbow and that would make anybody happy! The sentiment is from the Hooray Creative die set, and I cut it out 3 times and stacked them on top of each other. To give it a shiny puffy look, I coated it in some Ranger white enamel accents. To finish it off I sprinkled on some metallic gems and added some white ribbon.

Fox bookmark – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

I’ve been a little absent from blogland of late as I am currently on holidays with my family in Queensland. We have had a lot of fun in the sun today – the highlights being the kayaks and the catamarans. My 8 year old son has picked up kayaking so easily – he is a natural! We are off to my sister-in-laws wedding tomorrow where my daughter is a flower girl. Fun times!

Anyway, last week I had a project up on the Jane’s Doodles blog. A cute little fox from the Hello Friend stamp set and the sentiment is from the Read All About it stamp set. I had a lot of fun colouring this little guy in and felt that it didn’t need anything else so kept it very simple.

Today I have some very exciting news to share that has been a little while in the aking. Penny Black has put together a new blog called Simplicity at its Best and has asked a group of ladies (to be known as the Simplicity Sisters) to contribute projects to it. I have been asked to be a part of this esteemed group of crafters! WOW! The blog is devoted to creating projects using Penny Black products that are Clean and Simple as the name suggests.

Why don’t you head to the new blog and meet all of the Simplicity Sisters. I am very honoured to be a part of this exciting team.
