Hello – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello. I have a really simple mini card up on the Jane’s Doodles blog today. The feathers and sentiment are from the Wise Owl stamp set.

I stamped the feathers in different shades of distress ink onto some watercolour paper. I then used a brush to watercolour the feathers. When they were dry, I used the fine end of the coordinating distress marker and went over the images again to make the edges more pronounced. Very simple.

Thinking of you @ Muse

It is my turn again at the Muse Card Club and I must admit that I really love how this card turned out.

muse_logo

I stamped the images from the Avery Elle set Petals and Stems in Luxe Memento pigment ink. Once dry, I went over the images with different shades of Prisacolor pencils to add some shading and depth. It took quite a while to get the desired blending, but it was quite therapeutic. I used a Derwent blending pencil to help blend the colours. Finally I fussy cut all the images out and then added them onto the card base with foam dimensionals.

Tag You’re It Challenge #6

It’s time for another  Tag You’re It! Challenge. Can’t believe we are up to number 6 already!

Here is this week’s lovely inspiration tag – made by Karin Åkesdotter.

TYIC_6

I just HAD to include a butterfly as you know me, I love my butterflies. To add some sparkle, I created a glittery butterfly using some double sided adhesive and glitter.

Sending Smiles | Marion Vagg

The tag was from my scrap pile, but it was made by smooshing distress inks onto an acrylic block and then pressing it onto some water colour paper. I love this technique!
