Say it with…Brown, Olive and Mustard
Hi all,
Welcome to another AnnaBelle Stamps challenge. Are you up for a colour challenge?
(Tag ac065)
I thought I would struggle with this colour combo, but it actually came together quite quickly. It helped that I had Crushed Olive, Mustard Seed and Tea Dye distress inks. I made two different versions.
I used BBD#7 to create the stripy background. The reeds are from the All Things Grow set and the sentiment is from Fanciful Flowers. The butterfly is made from the new thin twine that Andrea has in the store. Which one do you prefer…I think the first one wins it over for me. I am still undecided about that butterfly!
Supplies:
Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps All Things Grow stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps BBD#7 stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps Fanciful Flowers stamp set
Ink: Distress Inks – Crushed Olive, Mustard Seed, Tea Dye, Versafine – Vintage Sepia
Card: AnnaBelle Stamps smooth white card, Kraft card, Dark brown bazzill
Other Supplies: AnnaBelle Stamps 0.8mm light brown twine, Zots glue dots – small, SEI buttons – seasoned, WRMK Corner Chompeer, Fiskars stamp press

I LOVE that butterfly!!! They’re both gorgeous cards!
Both cards are wonderful Marion, if you *made* me choose maybe the first one (by a smidge)! Would you believe I haven’t inked this ‘line’ stamp… must rectify that very soon, it looks FAB in the background! ps. I do like the butterfly!
I can’t pick a fav! Your designs are totally awesome! I LOVE the butterfly! It has such a fun feel to it!
I really like the background stamp in the challenge colours! Thinking this would work for me rather than sponging:) and looks similar.
Love both cards and your butterfly ….though my pick is the 1st one…..think it’s the straight lines with the button embellishment:)
Beautiful cards. I love the butterfly!!
Your design work on both is just fabulous. As is your butterfly.
I think these colours are quite masculine but you’ve made a gorgeous unisex design with them, love the bkgd stamping and I would say the first is my fave if pushed for a choice :0)

Stunning, simply stunning! I will definitely be putting these in my favorites!
Absolutely beautiful Marion! I adore the butterfly on the second one, so cute and clever!!! π
The butterfly is very clever! My favorite colors are warm tones, so I think these are wonderful!!! So cool how you stamped over the border background.
love how you created the background with the colors. beautiful.
They’re both gorgeous and I love how, with just a few tweaks, you made a masculine and feminine card from the same basic design. π
Your cards are both so pretty and it’s amazing how just changing out such a small detail can make one suitable tor a sir and one for a lady. Your butterfly is adorable. Lovely work!
I am in love with the super cute butterfly, such a clever idea Marion!! fabulous way to use the background stamps and this weeks colours, off to the CASE file with this one!! π
I love the unique butterfly. Would love to see how you made it. Very nice card.
