Read MoreHello. I hope you are having a great day. I’m popping in to share two cards that are also over on theย Sunny Studio blog. These cards use the Backyard Bugs stamp set – another fun and cute set to create with.
I’ll be honest with you here – this first card took me about 5 attempts! I had an idea and it took me a little longer than I had hoped to get there. But get there I did. I must be getting old!
To start with a partially die cut a circle (leaving the bottom of the circle uncut). Next, with some stamping and masking, I stamped my little scene. From there, I used my scissors and cut around the toadstool house to create the cut-a-way section. I blended in some ink on the base card with Salty Ocean distress ink and then popped the front panel up with some 3D mounting foam. Easy! (Hindsight is a wonderful thing!)
The next card is pretty much the same, except I stepped the process up and created a shaker card.
Which one do you prefer? We are divided in my house. My husband likes the first one better, but my daughter loves the shaker card!

Read MoreHello! Welcome to the release blog hop for Jane’s Doodles Stamps. You should have arrived from Jane’s awesome blog. She is the wonderful artist behind these fun and creative stamps. Today we are showcasing her latest two stamp sets which are available for purchase in the store.
First up I’ve created a very CAS and one layer card using the Love Bird’s set. Coloured with Copics and I just love those google eyes – though the bottom bird looks a little coy ๐
This next card uses the Coffee Time set which I love as I am a lover of coffee! My hubby is quite the coffee connoisseur so I have an in-house barista – and he knows exactly how I like my espresso ๐ This card is painted with Kuretake watercolour paints. I’m still in love with them.

The school holidays are winding down and I have to start back at school Thursday week. The summer holidays are nearly over. We did manage to get away and we went to Melbourne for 4 nights. It was fun exploring the city and surrounds. And the food we ate! Well Melbourne, you know how to do food. I put up some photos over on Instagram if you are interested – just search for @marionvagg.

The bear is coloured with Copic Markers and I added some red Stickles to the heart for some shine. The wrap slips on and off very easily. I may have to make a few more of these and can change up the sentiment as there are loads of different options in the set. Make sure you check it out here.
