Friday Feature – Love Birds

Hello and welcome to Friday Feature at AnnaBelle Stamps. This week the Belles are showcasing the stamp set Love Birds. This stamp set will be 20% off this weekend until Sunday midnight (AEST).

For my first card, I masked off the heart in the middle and then distressed around it using Worn Lipstick. I then stamped the different sized hearts from the set over the distressing. I am currently taking the Online Card Class – Clean and Simple Card Class 2 and was inspired by Amber’s beautiful tree card on Day 1. I took her idea and ‘reversed’ it.

I am entering this into the Anything Goes challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog.

Forever in my heart

And because the Belles are showcasing the Love Birds set, I have another completely different card that I made a while ago, but never posted. I found it on my computer so thought I would share it.

Edit: And it just so happens that this card fits so nicely into the Online Card Class – Day 4! Ha!

This card was a really quick (and small) birthday card I made for a friend’s son who had a birthday last week. I already had the rocket coloured in, so it took less than 5 mins to assemble, which is unheard of for this slow crafter. The rocket stamp/die is from Papertrey Ink and I just can’t get enough of my AnnaBelle Stamps background stamp – BBD#5.

Supplies

Stamps: Papertrey Ink – Boy Basics: Out of this World Stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps BBD#5

Ink: Memento – Bamboo Leaves, Tuxedo Black Versafine – Onyx Black

Card:  AnnaBelle Stamps smooth white cardstock, Hero Arts folded note cards – Grass

Other Supplies: PTI Rocket Die, Cuttlebug, Copic Markers, Foam dimensionals

Short and sweet today. Thanks for dropping by,

Marion

Say it with…Artichoke, Pineapple and Pumpkin

Hello and welcome back to another AnnaBelle Stamps challenge. This week we have a colour challenge for you.

I must admit that I was a little thrown by the colours – until I got out my AnnaBelle Stamps stain ribbons. That’s when a crafty project popped into my head – making  some ribbon ruffle flowers.

The flowers were super easy to make. Using a needle and thread, I did a simple running stitch along one side of a piece of ribbon about 15 -20cms long. Once done, I pulled the threads from both ends and the ribbon ruffled into a flower. To finish I tied the ends off. Once I had my three flowers, I used a plain hair clip and hot glued the ribbon flowers on it and added some matching AnnaBelle sprinkles. Simple, simple. (A tip: to make sure that the ends of the ribbon didn’t fray, I used a flame from a match to melt the ribbon ends).

Supplies

Stamps: None

Ink: None

Card: None

Other Supplies: AnnaBelle Stamps Artichoke 16mm satin ribbon, AnnaBelle Stamps Pineapple 16mm satin ribbon, AnnaBelle Stamps Pumpkin satin ribbon, AnnaBelle Stamps Pineapple sprinkles, AnnaBelle Stamps Pumpkin Sprinkles, Hot glue gun, hair clip.

This week’s winner will receive a $15 Gift Voucher to the AnnaBelle Store. Hope you will play along with us. Be sure to check out the rest of the Belles’ projects – their links are on my side bar.
