Say it with…buttons and bows

Friday has rolled around again, so that means it is time for another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps.

Buttons and bows…who doesn’t love to use buttons and bows? I went very clean and simple for this one. I am entering this into the current Wee Memories Challenge #76 – Birthdays and Parties. The sentiment is from the AnnaBelle Stamps “Tree-MEN-dous” set.

And while I was at it, I made another card, but my inspiration for this came from the CAS queen Cristina Kowalczyk.

I used the “Dotted Flowers” stamp set to create this one.

Say it in…Sentiments

Welcome to another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps. This week’s challenge is one that made my heart skip a beat – Say it with Sentiments.

I didn’t use as many sentiments as I had planned to, but I did use one sentiment many times…hope this still counts! Either way, I had fun making this card and I hope that it inspires you to play along with us!

I finally got to play with some new MFT dies that I won about a month ago – LOVE them! I used a tiny little ‘love’ sentiment from the Squared Posies set and also the background script stamp from BBD6 set. I finished it off with some AnnaBelle pearls and a twine bow! I am entering this into the current Wee Memories Challenge #74 – to use buttons, brads or bows.

New home

Hi everyone,

These houses are digi stamps from the DigiStamp Boutique from a set called New Home Collection. I have had them for ages and haven’t used them until now! It is for a friend of mine who has just moved. How exciting!

I used Adobe Illustrator to line the houses up in a row before printing them off and colouring them in with Copic markers. I went a little overboard with the colours – but I wanted to try out some new colours that I recently got for my birthday from my Hubby :-). I like the whimsical look – who wouldn’t want to live in a street like this? I am entering this into the DigiStamp Boutique October Competition.

I also did a little experimenting with Copics – I went for a brick look here on the end house. The clouds were made by masking with a post-it note and a sponge dauber.

My favourite is the spotty purple house – complete with Glossy Accent windows.

Supplies:

Stamps: New Home Collection from the DigiStamp Boutique, AnnaBelle Stamps “Squared Posies” stamp set (sentiment)
Ink: Printer, Versafine – Onyx Black, VersaColor Cubes – Atlantic, Canon printer
Card: Regal Craft Card (white textured DL single fold), X-Press It Blending card
Other Supplies: Copic markers, AnnaBelle Stamps Red/White Hemp twine, Foam dimensionals, Sponge dauber, Post it note, Glossy Accents, Jane’s Doodle button.

Thanks for stopping by,

Marion

With love butterflies

* If you are looking for the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog Hop, please scroll down *

I have been having a LOT of fun with watercolour paper and pearlised water since taking Jennifer McGuire’s Inspiration Showcase class… and today’s cards are no exception! I used one of the October Challenge sketches from the Hero Arts Blog for the first one.

This one is for my sister’s birthday which is this Friday.

I also made a bigger version adding purple.

This photos captures some of Perfect Pearls shimmery goodness and how the butterfly wings are raised to add some dimension.

And a different version again. As you can see I was having so much fun! I am entering this one into the CAS-ual Fridays #22 – Feeling Loopy challenge.

Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts Classic Fabric Design (CG245), Hero Arts Flourish Background (CG 119), Hero Arts Classic Messages (CL414)
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Worn Lipstick, Bundled Sage, Broken China, Tumbled Glass, Dusty Concord, Versafine Ink – Onyx Black
Card: Regal Craft Card (white square single fold), Acquarello Watercolour Paper (200gsm)
Other Supplies: Carl Craft Heart punch, Carl Craft Butterfly punch, Perfect Pearls, Mini mister, Zots adhesive dots, foam dimensionals, AnnaBelle Stamps 4mm pearls, Glossy Accents (to adhere the butterflies), blending tool

Thanks for popping by. My school holidays are slowly coming to an end so back to teaching next week for me, but I have had so much fun crafting which was one of my aims!

CFC22

Good evening,

Well I have had the best time card making today…it has been one of those days where everything just seemed to work! Here is my offering for this week’s CAS-ual Friday #22 challenge – feeling loopy. To create a project using loops – and loops on bows don’t count!

I have never used felt on a card before, so thought that I would try it today. I ‘felt’ inspired after taking Jennifer McGuire’s Inspiration Showcase class and because of this class,  I also got out my watercolour paper and my pearlised water and got stamping…and I love the result. So soft, pretty and girly. The shimmer from the Perfect Pearls doesn’t show in the photos, but the background is lovely in real life!

There are 3 loops – one on the side and then one on either side of the roses.

Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts Classic Fabric Design (CG245), AnnaBelle Stamps “Squared Posies” (sentiment)
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Worn Lipstick, Bundled Sage, Versacolor – Tea green
Card: Regal Craft Card (white square single fold),  Acquarello Watercolour Paper (200gsm)
Other Supplies: My Favorite Things Die-Namics – Mini rolled roses die, felt – white, Glossy Accents (to adhere the flowers and leaves), lace, Kaisercraft grosgrain ribbon – cream, Perfect Pearls, Mini mister, Kaisercraft Tags, sponge dauber, Zots adhesive dots, Kaisercraft pearls – snow

Thanks for stopping by and I’ll be back soon to share some other cards I created today. I’ve had a happy day!

Say it with…a male card

This week’s challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps is to make a male card…and oh boy, was it a challenge for me! Me and male cards just don’t seem to mix however I did manage to create something after lots of paper shuffling. I paired it with the sketch challenge over at Lily Pad Cards.

I heat embossed a background stamp in white, then rubbed over with 3 different inks (it didn’t pick up in the photo – but there are 3 shades of blue on the panel). I thought it looked like pressed metal (very manly) and the spiral is my own little creations made from black craft wire. It is my attempt at a manly embellishment – a coil, a cog…something along those lines.

It is a b’day card for my hubby for next week from the kids….and he gave it his seal of approval…so it must be OK!

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps “Background by Design 3”
Ink: Versamark watermark ink, Versacolor – Atlantic, Cyan, Lagoon, Black
Card: Regal Craft Card (White textured single fold)
Other Supplies: American Crafts white embossing powder, heat gun, AnnaBelle Natural cotton twine, sponge dauber, Thickers – Fabric stickers, Weave Extras teeny tiny letter stickers, black craft wire

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out some more man-li-ness from the rest of the DT. Their links are in my side bar. Hope you can play along!
