Just for you and Celebrate

Good evening,

Even though we have just had summer here in Australia, I feel that it never really happened – we had such a mild one where I live! At the moment it is pouring with rain and feels more like winter! So I think it is only fitting that I enter the Cure for the Winter Blues Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. And who doesn’t love a blue and white card?

And while I was at it…I also made a green version.

Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts Dots and Flowers (S5213), Hero Arts All Occasion Messages (CL272)
Ink: Distress inks – Faded Jeans, Peeled Paint, Versafine – Onyx Black
Card: Hero Arts mixed folded cards – Hero Hues – Sea and Foliage, Regal Craft card – textured square
Other Supplies: Ranger white Enamel Accents

Thanks for visiting,

Marion

It’s the little things

Just sharing quickly a card that I made on the weekend using some new (to me) Hero Arts stamps that I purchased recently.

I love Hero Arts pool note cards and that background stamp called Birds and Branches! And thanks to Jess for my button! It was the perfect contrasting colour. I think I may make a set of these in different colours.

I am entering this into the Hero Arts Feb competition. My card fits into 2 categories – it is a friendship card and is a liberal interpretation of the sketch on the right.

Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts Birds and Branches (AR173), Hero Arts Find Joy (CL497)
Ink: Versacolor – turquoise
Card: Hero Arts folded cards – Hero Hues – Blush, XPress-It Blending card
Other Supplies: Fiskars scallop border punch, American Crafts button, AnnaBelle Stamps 0.8mm twine, Glue dots

Thanks for stopping by,

Marion

Say it with…Background Stamps

Hi all,

The challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps this week is to use background stamps. Hope you can join in the fun and we look forward to seeing where your imagination takes you!

I used BBD#7 to create a colourful stripy background. The buttons were a lovely gift from my fellow DT Jess. I wanted the sentiment to be a little bolder – so I stamped it once and then stamped it again a fraction to the side, then filled the gaps in with a black felt pen.

I am entering this into the current Jay Gee Nook’s Challenge #16 where the inspiration was this photo. I was drawn to the colours and the buttons!

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps BBD#7 stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps Fanciful Flowers stamp set
Ink: Versacolor ink – Camellia, Turquoise, Bamboo, Cyan, Orange, Yellow
Card: AnnaBelle Stamps smooth white card
Other Supplies: AnnaBelle Stamps 0.8mm Natural Hemp twine, foam dimensionals,  Glossy Accents (to adhere buttons), American Crafts buttons, black felt pen

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the DT have created. The Belles’ links are on my side bar.

Thanks for visiting.

All the best (CFC Guest Designer)

Hello again,

This is my second post for today. If you are looking for the latest AnnaBelle Stamps challenge, please scroll down.

Today I am VERY excited as I am temping with the Girl Friday’s in the latest CAS-ual Friday’s Challenge. I am very honoured to have won a Guest Designer spot!

This week’s challenge is to create a card inspired by a movie – in honour of the Oscar’s this week. It is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.

Photobucket

I decided to create a card for my sister who has recently moved house. My card was inspired by the fabulous kid’s movie ‘Up’.

I had a lot of fun making this card. I created a mask and sponged the clouds for a subtle background. The house is a digi stamp from the the Digi Stamp Boutique called New Home Collection. I coloured scraps of card with different Distress Ink colours and then punched out the balloons and layered them with foam dimensionals. The sentiment is computer generated.

I am entering this into the Punches Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

Supplies:

Stamps: New Home Collection from the DigiStamp Boutique
Ink: Printer, Distress Ink – Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans, Mustard Seed, Broken China, Worn Lipstick, Fired Brick, Dusty Concord, Peeled Paint, crushed Olive, Spiced Marmalade, Chipped Sapphire
Card: Regal Craft Card (white textured square), X-Press It Blending card
Other Supplies: Copic markers, DMC White floss, foam dimensionals, Mask-It, Small balloon punch, Glossy Accents (on the heart on the door)

Hope you can play along this week. Thanks so much to Michele and the Girl Fridays for letting me temp with them. I have had a blast!

Until next time,

Marion

Say it with…hearts

Happy Friday everyone,

School has started again for me this week…so I am back into teaching. My son also started school this week and so far so good. He loves it!

This week at AnnaBelle Stamps we are getting ready for Valentine’s Day with a heart challenge. Who doesn’t love hearts?

I really love how this card finally turned out (after 3 hours of trying different things mind you!) Clean and Simple, but packing a punch! The hearts are stamped with a gingham stamp from the BBBD7 set and the sentiment is from the Love Birds set. And the twine is new twine that Andrea has just put into the store. It is 0.8mm thick (so really quite fine) and it is WONDERFUL…and so many colours to choose from! Check them out here.

I am entering this into the new challenge over at Lily Pad cards – Virginia’s View Challenge #1. The inspiration photo was this. I originally tried to add orange to my card, but it didn’t sit right – but the heart connection is still there!

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps Backgrounds By Design #7 (BBD7) stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps Love Birds stamp set (sentiment)
Ink: VersaFine ink – Onyx Black, Versacolor – Camellia
Card: AnnaBelle Stamps smooth white card – square (which I trimmed down), X-Press It Blending card
Other Supplies: Die-Namics Hearts a plenty die, Cuttlebug, foam dimensionals, Glossy Accents (to adhere bow), WRMK Corner Chomper, AnnaBelle Stamps 0.8mm hemp twine – red

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the DT have created. The Belles’ links are on my side bar. Hope you can join us this week – we would love to see your hearty creations.

Thanks for visiting.

Love Bird release at Print Candee

Hi everyone,

On the first day of every month Print Candee are now releasing a digital kit that coordinates! This month’s kit is called Love Bird Collection and is perfect for  Valentine’s Day cards and gifts. You can view the whole release here on the Print Candee Blog along with all the projects made by the Creative Team. It contains a paper pack, tonnes of clip art, frames, borders, journal spots, alphabets and more. The items in the new release can be purchased as a kit for $20 or each individual part (eg clipart, paper packs, alphabet sets etc) can be purchased for $4.50 each.

What I love about these kits is that everything co-ordinates, making life easier for me! I decided to make some Valentine’s Day treat bags. I spied Shari Carroll’s idea here and decided to make my own version using my own dimensions.

I am entering these into the current Die Cutting Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

I printed some of the Love Bird Collection Paper Pack onto white card stock to make the treat bag. I die cut the heart shape onto the front panel before putting it all together. I then added embellishments and banners from the Love Bird Collection Frames and Borders and the Journal Spots and Phrases sets and some twine and pearls. Too easy….and a LOT of fun!

Each bag has a different treat which I put into a little cellophane bag. The chocolate in the one above is actually in the shape of a love heart! FUN!

Supplies:

Digital Images/Stamps: Love Birds Collection Paper Pack (Print Candee), Love Birds Collection Clip art (Print Candee), Love Birds Collection Frames and Borders (Print Candee), Love Birds Collection Journal Spots and Phrases (Print Candee)
Ink: Canon colour printer
Card: White card stock
Other Supplies: AnnaBelle Stamps pearls, Die-Namics Hearts a Plenty die, Cuttlebug, AnnaBelle Stamps cotton twine – white, small clear cellophane bags, yummy treats (Mini Fruits, Musks, Love heart chocolate), foam dimensionals, Martha Stewart score board, Mini stapler, Glossy accents (to adhere twine).

As a special offer Print Candee will be offering a 35% discount off the kit (which would make them $13 for the whole kit). How awesome is that! But the offer will only last a week so head on over to the Print Candee store and check it out.

Until next time,

Marion
