Muse #109 – It’s Your Birthday

muse_logo

I was determined NOT to make a blue card for the Muse Card Club this month. Looking through my last Muse cards, blue seems to be something I gravitate too! So how about a dose of yellow for this month?

It[s Your Birthday | Marion Vagg

These sweet birds (coloured with Copics) are from the Penny Black ‘Woodland Friends’ Stamp set and the sentiment is also from a Penny Black set called ‘Live it Up!’. I created the background by creating a wash with Distress inks, and once dry, flicked on some splatters with a paintbrush.

Hope that you will be able to find some time this week to join in on the fun.

It’s your Special Day with Penny Black

simplicity sister

Today I am back sharing a card using some of the new Penny Black products from their latest release Bring on the Happy.

I have created a fun scene using the Live it Up! stamp set and paired it with a sentiment from the Sprinkles and Smiles stamp set. I coloured in the balloons with Copics and added some clear Wink of Stella glitter pen for some subtle shine. I masked off a circle and blended in some Salty Ocean distress ink to create the sky.

Muse #105 – God Bless You

muse_logo

Another month has rolled around and it is my turn to be the Muse at the Muse Card Club. I have had this die from Memory Box in my craft stash for well over a year and a half….and it has NEVER made it onto a card until now! Better late than never.

I sponged distress ink onto the small focal panel and to create the stars I spritzed the panel with some water from a mister bottle before dabbing it away with a dry cloth. It created just the right amount of stars for my scene.

A Special Wish – Penny Black

simplicity sister

Today I am sharing another CAS card using some more fabulous Penny Black products.
I stamped a background pattern using some of the leaf images from the Petal Power stamp set in a teal coloured pigment ink. The red dots were made with a red Copic marker. The sentiment is from the Special Wishes stamp set which I cut out and popped up on some foam squares.
