Wonderful You – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello. I have another Jane’s Doodles card to share with you today, one that was up on the JD blog earlier this week. Well as many of you know, for many months Jane was unable to send me any new sets die to postage restrictions to Australia. Thankfully that has changed now, and last week I received all the sets that I had missed out on since June….I love playing with new stamps.

Well I got to work straight away and I used the Wonderful You stamp set and created this.

I used some masking paper to mask off the oval and blended in some Distress Oxide inks (Abandoned Coral and Fossilized Amber). The flowers were coloured with Copics and fussy cut before rearranging them a thousand times before I can up with this. The sentiment is from the same set.

And I also realised I hadn’t shared these cards with you either – again all JD cards. This card uses the Seamus stamp set.

And this card uses the adorable Outdoors set – I can’t get enough of that moose!

If you have any questions about my cards, just contact me and I’d be happy to answer them.

Thanks for stopping by,

Critters Galore – Penny Black ‘Refreshing’ Inspiration #5

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is refreshing-banner-1.jpg

Me again! Two posts in 2 days! What is happening to me? Well these posts are the fruit of a very productive crafty weekend. I’ve had such fun in the studio of late. These adorable critters from Penny Black are from the Refreshing release and I just couldn’t stop at one tag – so made 4!

All these cute critters are from the Critter Delights stamp set.

I used the Tagged creative metal die set and die cut 4 tags. I then stamped each image onto a tag with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured them with Copic markers. (Once coloured, I like to re-stamp over the image again in VersaFine Onyx black ink as it makes everything pop!).

I die cut the Silver Linings cloud dies out of some Post-It notes and used these as a stencil to create the clouds in the backgrounds. I kept on moving it around and changing up the angles. I used Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink for the clouds.

The sentiments are all from the Carefree Wishes stamp set from a previous release.

Thanks for sticking with me through this photo heavy post. I had a lot of fun creating these tags and know that they will come in very handy for my kid’s friends birthdays.

To view and or purchase any of these new products from this release, head to theĀ Penny Black online store.

If you have any questions, just email me.

Until next time,

Marion

Sending Love and Hello – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello, I’m back with another two cards for Jane’s Doodles. Both cards are very similar, but I wanted the experiment and try this simple technique using different stamps and I got completely different results.

Both cards use the same colour combo of Distress Oxide Inks – Seedless Preserves, Worn Lipstick and Fossilized Amber. I think these colours look great together. I masked off the areas I wanted coloured with either washi tape or masking paper. I sponged on the Distress Ink fairly heavily. For the butterfly card I used the Doodle Butterflies stamp set and stamped it all with VersaFine Onyx black ink.

For the second card I used the Plumeria stamp set and the Hello sentiment is from the Cactus stamp set. No colouring required, so it was a pretty easy and quick set of cards to make. To finish them off I used some Nuvo dots (pearl).

The great news is that Jane is back from her vacation and the shop is once again in full operation.

If you have any questions about my cards, just contact me and I’d be happy to answer them.

Just For You – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello, I’m back with another card for Jane’s Doodles. Today I have used the the Life is Good stamp set. Jane is currently enjoying a much needed break, so the store won’t be open until the 20th of August.

I stamped the images onto some Neenah white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then coloured the images with Copic markers before fussy cutting them out.

I masked off a rectangle on the card base and created the green background with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Oxide inks.

If you have any questions, just contact me and I’d be happy to answer them.

Congratulations – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hi there. I’m getting a little bit slack posting to my blog of late. I’m an Instagram girl (@mademarionstudio) as I find it quick and easy. Most of my cards end up over there, as well as other bits and bobs, so feel free to follow if you don’t already.

I am posting a card for Jane’s Doodles which was up on her blog over a week ago. Head here to see that post.

I used the Special Delivery stamp set (stork and baby) and coloured them with Copics. The sentiment is from the All Occasions stamp set.

To create the cloud background, I used this Cloud Stencil from My Favorite Things and some Distress Oxide ink.

If you have any questions, just contact me and I’d be happy to help.

You are Magical – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Good evening. I’m back sharing a card I had up on the Jane’s Doodles blog this week. I made it using the Magical stamp set and the sentiment came from the Unicorn stamp set.

I recently purchased this Cloud stencil from MFT (if you follow me you know I love cloud stencilling) and I love it. I started by created a cloud background using some different colours of Distress Oxide ink (Faded Jeans and Seedless Preserves). I then stamped and coloured the dragon and castle with Copic markers and fussy cut them out. The white cloud die cuts are from Penny Black and are called Silver Linings.

I adhered all the elements onto the cloud panel, popping some up on foam tape to add some dimension. The dragon has some clear Wink of Stella glitter on its wings and scales, but hard to see in the photos. I also added some white gel pen dots to the dragon’s body.

If you have any questions about my card, just email me.

I hope you have been getting some crafty time in.

Until next time,

Marion
