Hello – Jane Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

I’ve really had a lot of fun playing with Jane’s latest stamp set called Daisies. It is such a versatile set and the images are really easy to colour. Copic Markers are my favourite way to add colour to an image, and that’s what I have used again here. I added a really subtle blue around the daisies for some added interest. You can find my card here on the Jane’s Doodle blog.

A couple of Jane’s Doodles cards

Jane's Doodle Banner

I have a couple of Jane’s Doodles cards that I haven’t shared here on my blog yet. My life has been SUPER crazy busy the past month – but hopefully things can start to get back to normal soon (but who am I kidding – both my kids have their birthdays in December, school finishes soon so I’m finalising school reports, end of year activities, Christmas is looming….you get the idea. Bring on January I say :))

First up, I have a one layer card using the Winter Wishes stamp set – which is one of my favourite Jane’s Doodles set. I now know why I don’t make one layer cards very often as I’m not a fan of masking. I like the idea, but the actual practise of it is another thing. But it was fun to give it another go. Laura Bassen I take my hat off to you. You are the one layer queen in my eyes!

Next up is a a sentiment-less card using the Doodle Flower and Doodle Flower II stamp sets. This card was really quick to make and could be used for a variety of occasions. I could even add a sentiment really easily if I wanted too. I stamped the images in various colours of inks and then coloured some of the images in with a matching Copic marker colour.

Just a note – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello. Today I have two cards up on the Jane’s Doodles blog using three of her stamp sets – Doodle Flowers, Doodle Flowers II and Stripes and Dots. I created the backgrounds on both of these cards using the stripe stamps from the Stripes and Dots set and three shades of dye ink. I overlapped the stamping and double stamped some of the stripes to create the background. I love how the inks blended together and it looks as though I have used more than 3 colours on each card.

Once the backgrounds had dried completely, I stamped various floral images from the Doodle flowers sets with VersaFine Onyx black ink, then added in some white gel pen detailing. I think I like the blue/green one. Which one do you like best?

Love You and Hello – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello. I hope you have had a fabulous Monday and a great weekend. I’ve just had 2 very lovely days with my Mum, two sisters and my niece in Sydney. We went to see Matilda on Sunday night and it was a brilliant show! I’m back home now and feeling tired, but I’m on holidays, so I’m going to take things very slowly!

I’m popping in with a couple of Jane’s Doodles cards that were over on the Jane’s Doodles blog recently.

First up is this floral card and I love how easy it was to create. I white heat embossed the image from Spring Blessings onto coloured card stock and then did some simple colouring with Copic markers.

Next up is this hello card that uses the Jane’s Doodles Mom set. Lots of fussy cutting, but I find that quite relaxing. And I also used some patterned paper. Go me!
