A couple of projects – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello crafty peeps. I hope you have been getting in lots of crafty time – because I certainly haven’t. I feel like I am burning the candle at both ends at the moment – and to top it off I have hurt my back, at the gym of all places! I just can’t seem to win!

Anyway, I have a couple of Jane’s Doodles projects to share with you from the last couple of weeks. You can find the posts on the Jane’s Doodles blog here and here.

First up this little tag uses the Special Delivery stamp set. The stamp has a baby in the pram, but I swapped it out for the teddy bear.

My second card uses quite a few Jane’s Doodle stamp sets. I created the bubbly background using the Stripes and Dots stamp set. I used first, second and third generation stamping in 3 different colours as well as white. I stamped onto watercolour paper, as that is what I had layering around. For the smallest dot, I used the eraser on the end of my pencil. The crab is from the Under the Sea set and coloured with Copics. The sentiment is from the Doodle Flowers stamp set.

Jane’s Doodles Blog Hop

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello hello. Today is the release blog hop for Jane’s Doodles Stamps. You should have arrived from Zrinka’s blog. If you get lost along the way, there is a blog hop order at the end of my post that should point you in the right direction.

Today we are showcasing the latest stamp set to the store called Cake!

Cake!
Jane's Doodles cake

I coloured the cake with Copic markers and then fussy cut around the image. I stamped the floral wreath from the Mom stamp set in a light lavender ink onto the card base. In hindsight, I would have used a darker shade of purple as it dried a lot lighter than it stamped – but subtle is good sometimes.

It’s hard to tell, but the icing on the cake has a lovely layer of clear Wink of Stella. Very pretty in real life.

Hello – Jane Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

I’ve really had a lot of fun playing with Jane’s latest stamp set called Daisies. It is such a versatile set and the images are really easy to colour. Copic Markers are my favourite way to add colour to an image, and that’s what I have used again here. I added a really subtle blue around the daisies for some added interest. You can find my card here on the Jane’s Doodle blog.

I’m popping in with another card using one of Jane’s Doodles latest stamp sets called Daisies. This card is pretty much identical to one of my cards from the last blog hop (which can be found here), but I decided to step it up a bit and create my own plaid background (using the Stripes and Dots stamp set) and changed up the sentiment and the colours.

First up I stamped the daisy stamp onto some white card stock and coloured the image with Copics. I then fussy cut around the flowers before adhering it with foam dimensionals onto a yellow card base.

For my second card, I die cut some clouds from some masking paper. I then sponged on some Salty Ocean distress ink and moved the mask several times to create the cloud scene. The stork and baby were coloured with Copic markers and I then fussy cut around these before adhering them with foam dimensionals.

Hello Friend – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner
Happy Easter! I have a card over on the Jane’s Doodles blog at the moment. It uses the Under the Sea stamp set and the sentiment is from the Hello Friend stamp set. By the way, Jane is having a sale at the moment – 20% off all stamps. Shop here.

After stamping the fish in some waterproof ink, I water coloured the scene using my Kuretake water colour paints. I mixed in some of the white pearlised paint with the aqua paint, and it turned out beautifully. It has a nice lustre and shine to it.
