Hi there! I have been rather absent from crafting and blogging of late. But before I tell you why, I have had some cards over on the Jane’s Doodles blog that I thought I would share with you.

First up was this card using a stamp set of Jane’s that is no longer available called Space. I didn’t know it had been discontinued at the time I made this card (but hopefully Jane will change her mind and bring back this little cutie! I mean, who doesn’t LOVE an alien?) And while you are there, check out Miriam’s card! Stunning!

Next up was this card. I managed to get my hands on some foil recently and was itching to use it. It uses one of Jane’s newest sets called Mom.

I have discovered that photographing foil is REALLY hard. The photos don’t do it justice, so hopefully the following gif will help you see how pretty and shiny it is in real life.

This foil card was actually the first card I have made in over a month! Why? Well we have just returned from an overseas trip to the USA. My husband travels to the US quite regularly for work, and we were privileged to go with him this time. We had 2 weeks in and around San Diego, and then spent the last week in LA where we just had to go back to Disneyland! Here are a few highlights from our trip.

Meeting Pluto and Pooh Bear at Disneyland CA.

We had a great time and it was fun exploring a new part of the world. I might have managed to pick up a few crafty goodies along the way as well 🙂

I recently had this card up on the Jane’s Doodles blog. It was a really simple card to make. I white heat embossed some flowers from the Doodles Flowers and Doodle Flowers ii stamps sets onto some water colour paper before going to town with some water colour paints. I’ve been having some fun with water colouring lately – it is such a forgiving medium to work with.

First up I have made two cards using the Smile stamp set. These cards each have an action wobbler and when this is combined with google eyes, well, you get a whole lot of FUN!

Next up I have created a card with a watercolour panel made with several Distress ink colours. I love getting all inky with the water splatters. This card features the new DoNUTS stamp set.

Popping in quickly with a card for Jane’s Doodles. I masked off a circle on some watercolour paper and then went to town with some Distress Inks and a paintbrush. The Fox is from Jane’s Doodles Hello Friend set and the sentiment is from the Doodle Flower’s 2 stamp set. I think it looks like he is sitting in front of a huge moon!

I am feeling somewhat under the weather at the moment, so not much creativity has been happening of late – just a lot of coughing and sniffling. But a couple of weeks ago I did manage to create my very first shaker project – a tag! I have been watching and admiring this trend for probably over a year now – and not being one to jump into things too quickly, I decided it was FINALLY time to give it a try. After all the videos I’ve watch on shaker construction, one would think I would be able do it first time round, but it still took me 3 goes to get it right. But I do think it is a lot of fun! My daughter gave it the nod of approval and was very happy to claim my reject attempts.

And I just realised that I never posted my last Jane’s Doodles tag using the adorable Seamus stamp set. This guy makes me smile. I think the guy in the top left certainly does have crazy eyes as Jane mentioned in the post 😉 Crazy in love maybe?
