Hello and welcome to another Jane’s Doodles hop where the Design Team and a special Guest Designer are showcasing Jane’s latest stamp sets called Iris and Happy Day.

You should have arrived from Milka’s blog. If you get lost at any time, then the order of the hop is down below.

Let’s take a look at Jane’s fabulous new stamp sets.

Iris

Happy Day

Today I have made a card using one of the adorable mice from the Happy Day set. So darn cute! I stamped the mouse and balloon and coloured them with Copics. I like to fussy cut my images with a white border – as it leaves me with options for placement. I lightly inked a light blue oval with some Broken China Distress Oxide Ink onto the card panel, before popping up the images with some foam tape. The Happy sentiment is an old WPlus9 die, which I coloured with Copics and stacked up 3 times. The Happy Day sentiment is from Jane’s new Happy Day set.

I added some white gel pen dots to the mouse’s sweater. He is just so adorable!

Clean and Simple 4 – Hi

CS4_participantWell the Online Card Class Clean & Simple 4 is almost over, and I have only managed to make one card for it! With the new school year just beginning here, there are so many things that have needed to take precedence!
I really loved the faux embossing technique that Yana showed on Day 4 – so I went with it. I have done a similar technique before, but not in the same colour as the card base – and I like the effect that it creates.

Merry Christmas Tag and Scrabble Ornaments

Happy New Year! I’m popping in to share a Christmas tag that I made about a month ago and I have only got around to photographing it today! Better late than never. I hope you had a very Merry Christmas.

Another project that I have managed to complete over Christmas was to make some Scrabble tile ornaments. I originally saw the idea on Ardyth’s blog over a year ago which lead me to here. I am a huge Scrabble fan so this idea really appealed to me. During the year at a local market, I came across an old Scrabble set for $5 with the intention of making them. It wasn’t until last week, with the help of my handy-man Dad (who was staying with us for Christmas), they turned into a reality. I love how they turned out. I would have made more but I ran out of the tile holders.

I’ll definitely be on the lookout for another Scrabble set as I would love to make some more.
