Can you believe that this week is the 100th Muse Challenge? AND not only that, but it is our 2nd birthday and Michele (our new DT member) is kicking off the celebrations at the Muse Card Club this week. This year is certainly flying by! And another month has rolled around and it is my turn again at the Muse Card Club.

It was my husband’s birthday a couple of weeks ago and this was the card I made for him. I find masculine cards difficult, but I think the colour scheme and some inlaid die-cutting did the job. Not too many layers, but still lots of interest.

Hello. I’m up again at the Muse Card Club.

For my card, I wanted to incorporate two of my crafting ‘loves’, and they are stamping and die cutting. The background was stamped using the Mama Elephant Modern Borders stamp set, in a gorgeous array of summery colours 🙂 (For those of us in the Southern Hemisphere, it won’t be long until those long summer days will be with us again). The butterfly is a My Favorite Things die.

There are actually 3 vellum butterflies stacked on top of each other to add some interest and dimension.

I simple little owl card for you this time using the Hero Arts Playful Animals stamp set. I had to extend the branch to have my owl centred. Coloured with Copics and Glossy accents added to the eyes.

And just before I go, my family and I had the privilege of accompanying my husband to the USA on a business trip this past few weeks. We spent one week in Florida and the other in California. When in San Francisco we hired bikes and rode across the Golden Gate Bridge. I must admit I was unprepared for the cold weather in San Francisco!

And no trip would be complete without a visit to Disneyland. Here is my daughter finally getting to meet one of her favourite Disney characters.
