Watercolouring

I have some more cards to share for the Online Card Class – His and Hers.

HH_participant

I really loved Heather Nichols watercolour stamping on Day three, so I decided to give it a go. I didn’t end up making a Sympathy card for the female version, as I didn’t have an appropriate sentiment, but I managed to find a sympathy type sentiment for the male version.

Thinking of You – His and Hers

Good morning,

I am currently taking the latest Online Card Class – His and Hers. I was lucky enough to win a spot 🙂

HH_participant

This is my Day 1 Homework. I have made a His and Her card, both using the same sketch and both using the masking technique that Jennifer McGuire showed us in her Day 1 video. I had fun playing with my new Jane’s Doodle Stamp set called Doodle Flowers to create these single layer cards. Both of these cards use the set. For the His card, I used one of the leaf stamps and created a background. Does it work as a masculine card?

Thinking of You - Her card

Your're in my Thoughts - His card

Supplies

Stamps: Jane’s Doodles stamp set – Doodle Flowers, Hero Arts Live and Laugh Stamp set, (Her Flower card uses a Kaisercraft rub-on as the sentiment)

Ink: Memento – Tuxedo Black, VersaFine – Onyx Black

Card: Hero Arts Snow folded notecards

Other Supplies: WPlus9 Rounded Rectangles clear cut stackers die, Cuttlebug, Copic Markers, White Uniball signo gel pen, Ranger enamel accents – white

Friday Feature – Love Birds

Hello and welcome to Friday Feature at AnnaBelle Stamps. This week the Belles are showcasing the stamp set Love Birds. This stamp set will be 20% off this weekend until Sunday midnight (AEST).

For my first card, I masked off the heart in the middle and then distressed around it using Worn Lipstick. I then stamped the different sized hearts from the set over the distressing. I am currently taking the Online Card Class – Clean and Simple Card Class 2 and was inspired by Amber’s beautiful tree card on Day 1. I took her idea and ‘reversed’ it.

Flower bird garden

So I have another card to share with you based on Day 11 (using reverse stamps) from the Stretch Your Stamps class over at Online Card Classes. Super fun! I only own 2 reverse stamps – so my choice was rather easy. I stamped the image in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and then coloured in the flowers and birds with Prismacolor pencils. Simple. To make the flowers pop more, I went around the outside of every image with a sharp black Prisma pencil.

I am entering this into the current CAS-uals Friday challenge CFC062 – Back in Black and also over at CASology where the cue card for Week #2 is Happy (ie; Happy Birthday).

Supplies

Stamps: Hero Arts Flower Bird Garden stamp (CG270), AnnaBelle Stamps Fanciful Flowers Stamp set

Ink: Versafine – Onyx Black

Card: Black card stock, AnnaBelle Stamps smooth white cardstock

Other Supplies: Fiskars stamp press, vellum, American Crafts embossing powder – black, heat tool, anti static pillow

Until next time,

Marion
