Hope you have been busy crafting in my absence! I have crafted a little bit, but not much. We did however have 400mm of rainfall in 36 hours last week which caused some significant flooding here on the South Coast but we were fine. I can report today that the sun is out and shining brightly! First day of spring tomorrow and I can’t wait! I LOVE spring.
Until next time,

Read MoreThis month I had the privilege of using some Penny Black products and created a card for the PageMaps July card sketch.
In order to follow the sketch, but avoid an overly busy card, I created a lot of subtle textures using some Penny Black stencils. Both the pattern on the butterfly and the chevrons in the background were created by running the stencil through my Cuttlebug with a rubber embossing mat. The blue dots were created with a stencil and coloured embossing paste.
Penny Black products used:

Zigs and Zags stencil 25-010
Hypnotic stencil 25-015

Read MoreToday I have a colourful card showcasing some Penny Black products. I started by stamping the hexagon stamp from the Penny Black Textures stamp set repeatedly down a piece onto watercolour paper. I then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Next was the fun part – I went to town with a rainbow of Distress Ink colours, a paintbrush and some water.
I did some partial stamping to create the sentiment. The Happy is from the Sprinkles and Smiles stamp set and the Birthday is from the Good Day stamp set.
