Say it with…Thanks

Welcome to another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps.

The Belles were given the challenge to use a background stamp this week…but you don’t have to, it just needs to be a thank you card.

I am really in love with the BBD#5 background stamp. All I did was white heat embossed the background stamp onto several different colours of Hero Arts layering papers. I then added some tone on tone shading with Copic markers to add more interest.

Supplies

Stamps:Β  AnnaBelle Stamps BBD# 5 stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps Garden Silhouettes stamp set (sentiment)

Ink: Versamark watermark ink

Card: AnnaBelle Stamps Smooth White card stock, HA Layering papers – Poppy, Carnation, Punch, Mandarin

Other Supplies: MFT Hearts-a-Plenty Die, Cuttlebug, AnnaBelle Stamps Buttons – Rapsberry, Copic Markers, AnnaBelle Stamps embossing powder – white, heat tool, anti-static pillow, AnnaBelle Stamps hemp twine – 0.8mm white, Zots glue dots

This week’s winner will receive a $10 Gift Voucher to the AnnaBelle Store. Hope you will find the time to play along. Be sure to check out the rest of the Belles projects – their links are on my sidebar.

Thanks for stopping by,

Marion

Butterfly thanks

Hi ya,

I made this card a couple of weeks ago but didn’t get to post it. I am a little butterfly obsessed at the moment. The sentiment is a Hero Arts one – it is an outline sentiment – but I just coloured it in to make it solid. The patterns on the butterfly are from the Background By Design #7 from AnnaBelle Stamps.

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps BBD#7 stamp set, Hero Arts Find Joy (CL497)
Ink: Distress Inks – Chipped Sapphire, Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans – Onyx Black
Card: AnnaBelle Stamps smooth white card,
Other Supplies: AnnaBelle Stamps 0.8mm natural twine, Zots glue dots – small, Kaisercraft rhinestones, Glossy Accents – to adhere butterflies, Martha Stewart classic butterfly punch

Just a quick one from me today,

Thanks for visiting,

Marion

Thanks and Thinking of You

Hi everyone,

I had a really crafty weekend and made a whole heaps of cards…what a great way to spend a weekend I say!!

This first card is one I created for the Play Date Cafe challenge #86 where the colour challenge was pink, sky blue and orange. Such fun summery colours…check out the inspiration photo.

So I got out my WaltzingMouse “Teeny Trees” stamp set and had some fun playing and this is what I came up with! This is my first play along with PDCC.

The sentiment is a rub-on and I stamped the circles with Distress inks (loving these inks at the moment!)

The second card I want to share with you is one that is very similar to this card I made a couple of weeks ago…this time I tried blue distress inks with a different sentiment. I really love this one. The white in the middle of the flowers is white enamel accents from Ranger. (And if you are reading this Katrina – this is one of the ones that is coming your way very soon in your little bundle of cards!)

A close up of the dimension on the card!

Supplies:

[Circle Thank you]

Stamps: Waltzing Mouse “Teeny Trees” stamp set
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress inks – Worn Lipstick, Tumbled Glass, Droed Marigold
Card: Regal Craft Card (white square single fold), White card, Blue card
Other Supplies: Foam dimensionals, Kaisercraft ‘Thank You’ rub-on, WRMK corner chompers

[Thinking of you in blue]

Stamps: Hero Arts Stencil Flower cling stamp (CG194), Hero Arts Blossoms cling set (CG148) – for the leaves, Hero Arts Classic Messages (CL414)
Ink: Versamark watermark ink, Versafine Ink – Onyx Black, Tim Holtz Distress inks – Broken China, Tumbled Glass, Peeled Paint

Floral thanks

Hi! I’m back!

Today I FINALLY got a chance to get creative and make some cards! I have some new stamps that have arrived over the last few weeks and today I christened some. This stamp is one of them. It uses the Hero Arts Tall Flower woodblock stamp. I used Prismacolor pencils to colour in the flower and instead of grabbing the Gamsol (my usual go to) I used a Derwent blending pencil…still some practise is needed! Lots of blending of distress inks on the background with the HA Envelope Pattern stamp lightly over the top.
I am entering this into the current Hero Arts challenge which is to use at least one flower and I also used a coloured pencil technique!

Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts Tall Flower (K5431), Hero Arts Envelope pattern (S5507)
Ink: Versafine Ink – Onyx Black, Versa Color – Umber, Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Worn Lipstick, Scattered Straw and Dried Marigold
Card: Regal Craft Card (white textured DL fold), X-Press It blending card
Other Supplies: Prismacolor pencils, Derwent Blending Pencil, Kaisercraft pearls – pearl, Making Memories Metal ‘Thanks’ tag (which I went over in a black permanent texta), White sheer ribbon, thin green satin ribbon, foam dimensionals, WRMK Corner chomper

Thanks for looking. I hope to have another card to share with you really soon!
Take care,

Marion

Ladybird thank you set

Good evening fellow crafties,

Today I have a ladybird set to share with you. They are small cards – A6 size…and there are 8 in total with matching envelopes in their own little folder…all thank you cards.
I have been going through my stamp sets and am trying to use some of the stamps that I always overlook and have never or hardly used…and this little ladybird is one of them! It is from the Hero Arts “Antique Engravings” set.
They were so simple to make…stamp, colour with one Copic colour and then Glossy Accents! Simple as! I could easily churn out tons of these if need be.
The folder I made to house them in however, was a little more time consuming and fiddly…but after a few attempts I got there in the end. Thanks to Debby and her great folder tutorial from her blog Lime Doodle and Christina MacLaren’s folder idea from her blog Sea Grass and Sentiments… I am happy with how mine turned out! I adore both of these lady’s creations!!

Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts “Antique Engravings” (CL383), Hero Arts “Classic Messages” (CL414)
Ink: Versafine Ink – Onyx Black, Memento Ink – Tuxedo Black
Card: Regal Craft Card (white horizontal single fold), white Bazzill card, plain red card
Other Supplies: Copic Marker – R14, Glossy Accents, Cuttlebug, Cuttlebug embossing folder – Polka dots, black grosgrain ribbon

Thanks for stopping by,

Marion

Inspired by….Jill (Flower gift set)

Hi everyone,

It is such a beautiful autumn day here today…and I have another gift set to share with you.
It is my very good friend’s birthday today and she just loves my gift sets, so I made an extra special one for her….it has taken me hours, but I am happy with the result! It uses the Hero Arts Stencils Flower cling stamp and the HA Envelope Pattern Woodblock stamp.
I am entering it into Joy Taylor’s inspired by challenge over at her blog, Less is More, where we have to create a project inspired by someone in the crafting world. Well I took my inspiration from the very talented Jill Foster. She is THE master at taking plain white card and turning it into a colourful masterpiece! This is her lovely card where my inspiration came from.

And here are my versions….yes there are quite a few photos!!

And one of them all together (sorry about the photo)

And to top it off I found a snazzy little box from my local Newsagent that they fit into perfectly!!

Phew….that’s it! As you can see I even tried Jill’s water splattering technique that she uses so often on her cards.

Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts Stencil Flower cling stamp (CG194), Hero Arts Envelope Pattern Woodblock stamp (S5507)
Ink: Versafine Ink – Vintage Sepia, Tim Holtz Distress inks – Barn Door, Fired Brick, Dried Marigold, Borken China, Scattered Straw, Peeled Paint, Tumbled Glass, Worn Lipstick and Old Paper
Card: Regal Craft Card (white square textured single fold), X-Press-It Blending Card, White card
Other Supplies: Uniball white gel pen, foam dimensionals, Kaisercraft and TLC Quick Words rubons, Kaisercraft pearls – pearl, TH foam blending tool

Thanks for taking the time to look and ploughing through my mammoth post!

Marion
