Just For You – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner I have a card over on the Jane’s Doodle blog today. This card took a very direction to what I intended, but sometimes you just have to roll with it and see where creativity leads you.

The flowers are from the Anemone stamp set and the sentiment is from the Doodle Flowers set. I coloured the flower with cool grey Copic marker tones then fussy cut the images. I embossed an MFT frame in the background using an embossing mat, then did some ink splatters to add interest. The leaves are a Penny Black creative die and are cut from some green vellum I discovered in my recent move!

Supplies

Stamps: Jane’s Doodles Anemone and Doodle Flowers stamp set

Card: X-Press It blending card

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black ink, VersaFine Onyx Black ink

Other Supplies: Copic Markers (C1, C3, C4, C7), Penny Black Leaves Creative die, MFT Stitched Rectangle die, Cuttlebug, Spellbinder tan embossing mat, Green Vellum, Paintbrush (for ink splatters), Memento marker – Onyx Black

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are having a great week.

Happy Belated Birthday Tag – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

I am over on the Jane’s Doodle blog again this week, using a set called Belated Birthday. I am really having a lot of fun with this set at the moment and obviously I am having a lot of fun making tags as well!

I found this tag in my stash that I made sometime ago using an acetate stencil I made from an old SSS Sunshine die (which I believe is not available any more) and some texture paste that I had coloured with Distress Ink. The images are all coloured with Copics and then I fussy cut them out. I added some clear Wink of Stella (of course!) and some Glossy Accents to add some shine.

I love making tags and they are simple projects that I can put on my kid’s friends gifts.

Supplies

Stamps: Jane’s Doodles Belated Birthday stamp set

Card: X-Press It blending card, Black card stock

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Distress ink Mustard Seed

Other Supplies: Copic Markers, Clear Wink of Stella Glitter brush pen, Texture Paste, Palette knife, Paper Smooches Tag die, Cuttlebug, Hole Punch, Glossy Accents, SSS Sunshine die (discontinued), Acetate, Hero Arts embossing powder – white, Heat tool

Thanks for visiting,

Marion

Jane’s Doodles Blog Hop

Jane's Doodle Banner

Hello! Thanks for joining me today for a blog hop for Jane’s Doodles Stamps. If you have arrived from Milka’s blog you are in the right place. If you want to start from the beginning, there is a blog hop order at the end of this post with links.

Today we are showcasing Jane’s latest stamp sets which are already in the Jane’s Doodles store – just in time for Easter.

Suzi’s Easter

Funny Bunny

He is Risen

I have three cards to share with you today – I just couldn’t stop! The first two use a combination of Suzi’s Easter and Funny Bunny.

All images are coloured with Copic Markers and on the first two cards I masked off the images and gently blended in some blue and green distress ink. I can’t stop using my clear Wink of Stella glitter brush pen at the moment, so all of my projects today have some shimmer on them. You can see some on the Easter eggs in the close up photo on the Hoppy Easter card.

And last, but not least, I have used the He is Risen stamp set to create a tag/bookmark, again coloured with Copic Markers.

GIVEAWAY:
Jane is generously giving one stamp set of your choice from the store to one lucky winner. Just leave a comment on all the blogs along the hop for your chance to win. In addition to this, there is 20% sale on all stamps in the store. The winner will be announced on Monday and the sale ends Midnight on Sunday.

Featured Artist – Tag You’re It #67

I am really honoured to be the Featured Artist over on the Tag You’re It challenge blog for their 67th challenge. A big thank you to Tracey McNeely for inviting me. If you follow my blog, you would know I am a huge fan of making tags and I also used to be on the Design Team for this challenge. So it is nice to be back as a Featured Artist!

This tag is a little different to my usual style, but I was in the mood for some layers, texture and a more feminine creation. I used some texture paste and a Kaisercraft stencil to add texture to the background. The flower is a Die-Namics die called Upsy Daisies and the sentiment is from a MFT set called Label Maker Sentiments. The leaves die is a Fancy That die called Leafy Swirl.

I can’t wait to see how my tag inspires you. I hope you get a chance to play along. Head to the TYI blog for all the details.
