Read MoreI was determined NOT to make a blue card for the Muse Card Club this month. Looking through my last Muse cards, blue seems to be something I gravitate too! So how about a dose of yellow for this month?
These sweet birds (coloured with Copics) are from the Penny Black ‘Woodland Friends’ Stamp set and the sentiment is also from a Penny Black set called ‘Live it Up!’. I created the background by creating a wash with Distress inks, and once dry, flicked on some splatters with a paintbrush.
Hope that you will be able to find some time this week to join in on the fun.

I am feeling somewhat under the weather at the moment, so not much creativity has been happening of late – just a lot of coughing and sniffling. But a couple of weeks ago I did manage to create my very first shaker project – a tag! I have been watching and admiring this trend for probably over a year now – and not being one to jump into things too quickly, I decided it was FINALLY time to give it a try. After all the videos I’ve watch on shaker construction, one would think I would be able do it first time round, but it still took me 3 goes to get it right. But I do think it is a lot of fun! My daughter gave it the nod of approval and was very happy to claim my reject attempts.
And I just realised that I never posted my last Jane’s Doodles tag using the adorable Seamus stamp set. This guy makes me smile. I think the guy in the top left certainly does have crazy eyes as Jane mentioned in the post 😉 Crazy in love maybe?

I coloured in the balloons with Copics and added some clear Wink of Stella glitter pen for some subtle shine. I masked off a circle and blended in some Salty Ocean distress ink to create the sky.

Read MoreAnother month has rolled around and it is my turn to be the Muse at the Muse Card Club. I have had this die from Memory Box in my craft stash for well over a year and a half….and it has NEVER made it onto a card until now! Better late than never.
I sponged distress ink onto the small focal panel and to create the stars I spritzed the panel with some water from a mister bottle before dabbing it away with a dry cloth. It created just the right amount of stars for my scene.
Hope that you will be able to find some time this week to join in on the fun.

Well the Online Card Class Clean & Simple 4 is almost over, and I have only managed to make one card for it! With the new school year just beginning here, there are so many things that have needed to take precedence!
I really loved the faux embossing technique that Yana showed on Day 4 – so I went with it. I have done a similar technique before, but not in the same colour as the card base – and I like the effect that it creates.
