First up I created a colourful cluster of flowers, that were coloured with Copics and then given a coating of Wink of Stella brush glitter pen.

Next I made a fun bookmark for my son, once again colouring with Copics. The apple is coated in Glossy Accents.I heart books | Marion Vagg

And finally I water coloured the Wise Owl with Distress ink and made a tag. On the back it says “This book belongs to…” I couldn’t resist the googly eyes.Wise Owl | Marion Vagg

Hello

Happy Sunday Evening everyone,

I am into owls at the moment – let’s face it, there are so many owl stamps and images out there that are just soooo cute!

Here is my owl offering that I am entering into the current CAS-ual Fridays Challenge CFC#17 (stuck on you) and the current Scrapbook Boutique Challenge (to use ribbon or a bow – look at that yummy inspiration photo!)

These are all stickers from EAD designs. I sponged around a cloud shape repeatedly on the background with blending chalk, it is subtle, but looks better in real life.

I love how the textured card gives the stickers a textured look as well. I added some sprinkles for eyes and a bow to make her look more girly.

There you have it…a card with no stamps or ink – just chalk and stickers!

Supplies:

Stamps: None
Ink: None
Card: Regal Craft Card (White textured DL card)
Other Supplies: EAD Designs “Owl Friends” Stickerz, Annabelle Stamps Sprinkles – 4mm blackcurrant, AnnaBelle Stamps Natural Cotton Twine, Glossy Accents, Creative College blending chalks – blue, sponge dauber

Here ere are another two fabulous owl cards that I have come across recently in blogland that I simply ADORE! Check em out – Amy Wanford and Melania Deasy. Aren’t they just the cutest?

Thanks for stopping by. Oh and don’t forget the Print Candee is having their first Blog Hop this coming Wednesday…with lots of fabby prizes! You won’t want to miss it!

See you then,

Marion

Welcome Baby

Greetings from North Queensland! I now understand why a lot of Aussies head north during the winter! I am currently sitting in my sister’s lounge room in shorts and t-shirt with the ceiling fan on…and it is winter! It is such a nice change from cold land down south!

Anyway, yesterday my Mum, sister and I had our little craft stall at the Craft Spectacular and it was such a fun day! Lots of people through the door and lots of sales which is always exciting! In addition to selling my cards, I also made a whole heap of little girls hair clips out of grosgrain ribbon and felt…so when I get home I’ll take some decent pictures and share them with you all.

But onto a baby card that I made recently which was one of my sales yesterday. I used the ‘Welcome Baby’ sentiment out of Jane’s Doodles ‘Noah’s Ark’ stamp set and stamped it repeatedly in distress inks to make the background. The giraffe is a Recollections stamp and coloured in with copic markers.

Supplies:

Stamps: Recollections – Zoo-Licious, Jane’s Doodles – Noah’s Ark stamp set (sentiment) , Hero Arts – Playful Animals stamp set (CL155) (little star), Hero Arts – Envelope Pattern woodblock stamp (S5507)
Ink: Versafine Ink – sepia, Memento Ink – Tuxedo Black, Distress inks – dried marigold, scattered straw
Card: X-Press It Blending card, Regal Craft Card (white smooth square fold), green card
Other Supplies: Copic markers, Glossy Accents, Basic Grey button – brights, foam dimensional, spellbinders Nesties – label 4, Cuttlebug, Kaisercraft grosgrain ribbon – brown, DMC Floss – white, Quickutz die – tag, AnnaBelle Stamps pearls – 3mm, blending tool
